Curious, why do you keep posting it’s a dead horse issue ? Cause it has been brought up time and time again and it never catches on… just like the kick off cheer. Bringing it up on a message board a couple of times and having the belief it will catch on is fools gold. If your passionate about it, you have to get the university and staff involved so they can endlessly promote it. And then you start an individual campaign to promote it. And with time it catches on. If not, you didn’t really do anything but post a few times on a message board, which is entertaining at least.

We could hire MC Hammer and instead of Hammer Time he could change it to "Buzzsaw Time" Close TROYSTET. But “Can’t Touch This”; energy - meaning. Yeah… Can’T Touch This

That’s the plan to agree on something and present it to Jonathan Swalley and get it implemented! Jsawalley@troy.edu

I am certain that this is played during pre-game warmups. I haven't been in a season (*cough or two cough*) but at least I remember it being played. I'd be happy to sing this before the start of the 4th quarter.

Be different...end of 3rd quarter. Kids seem to like this one too. After the last three years, we all need to listen to this song. Most popular version...Ho there in crowd somewhere, River Platte Stadium, April/May 2009? Way too many Quilmes that night. Friends live across street from stadium - literally. Yep... I'm in. I used to sing this song while I stocked the shelves at Garrett's IGA on 3 Notch St. back in the day. It's simple too...and the kids would get into it. Sorry, nobody cares about what fat old dudes want to play. Play this from 1:00 mark at the end of the 3rd quarter, put words down at the bottom and watch the magic. My guess is they will play sweet home alabama because Bammer does it.

How bout Nine inch nails. "I wanna f#%# you like an animal" play it at kick the opposing team would definitely be uncomfortable and some of us fans. And then the visiting fans say, "HA HA! Troy people f*ck animals!" Next.

I also just noticed that my recommendation has 43.7 million views. The only other one posted on here with more is Sweet Home Alabama. So I think I might be on to somethin'.

Okay how about "One" by Metallica then maybe at the 4th quarter "Mother" by danzig. Of course the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team comes out to "How great thou art" sacrilege yes effective yes

Populus came out with this a while ago! Definitely not what we are looking for but I thought it would show that they were on the same page! If you haven’t listened to them before the game it is worth it! The show they did on Sept 11 was excellent

The two things that have gained the most traction with the fan base are the previously mentioned raising of the imaginary swords and the crying of "HAVOC!" by the fans. Neither of these happened because of some promotion. They were just great ideas that the fans recognized as such and started doing along with the band and PA announcer (as to HAVOC!, I've noticed the PA announcer no longer says it, the crowd has taken over). Tings that catch on in this manner are the things that will stick. That said, I'm in favor of a song. It needs to be played at the same time each game i.e. between Qtr 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 and it doesn't need completion. By that, I mean the constant blasting of various music every time there is the slightest break in the action has to stop, otherwise, nobody will ever know we are playing the same song at the same time every game. The Sound needs to refrain from playing at that time and the money grab or Half Shell Oyster Shuffle, or Joe's Pool Hall Sumo Rassin' need to be done some other time as well. Until this happens, Nothing will catch on. Wisconsin doesn't have a money grab during "Jump", Pittsburg doesn't have a band playing during "Renegade" and if we want something similar at Troy, we need to follow suit.

Off subject but do you remember the baseball games in the 1980's where they would play those awful songs between innings. Some I remember were Red Sovine Phantom 309, The Adams Family theme. Everyone use to love that

I am not sure we will ever agree on a song. When I was in High School as a Sophomore boy the boys and girls for each class chose their favorite song. My group chose The National Anthem. What I am saying is unless we chose that one I am fine with whatever does actually catch on but I am still partial to just playing that one again.
