Where do you sit. Are you on the top row? I am in Row 6 section 116. Usually make it to 3 games but only 2 this year because the six hour drive home has been depressing ! I usually wear a kilt. I stand pretty much the whole game! If you are the guy doing the DaaaaOooooo you are very loud! My wife hates you but I love it! Lol The top row would be my friends who recruited me to that section. I'm on the row below. I've seen you in your kilt! Trojan Fanatics

Come on over to section 116 and join trojantke, Mr E 205 Legion, & me! E are trying to build something in that section. It's a regular thing to have people in that section leave because of all the cheering. 🤣 might need to strongly consider doing this next season. Following. My seats are in 110 but if y'all are serious about making 116 a LOUD section then I'm down. I know Mr E 205 Legion. The rest, not so much.

I think 116 is actually designated for parents of cheerleaders and the band! We might consider moving over one towards midfield! I’d be happy to talk to the ticketing office and see if they can designate that area!

I was thinking about moving sections and getting closer to midfield but if people are going to turn 116 into a real cheering section I’m all about staying! I think before next season we need to come up with some things that fans can do to support the team! We need a chant for kick off I think we need a song as well and not sweet Caroline even though I love it! We yell, "Cryyyyyyyyyyy HAVOC! Go a Troy!" I don't care if no one else does it, we are loud enough to be heard! 🤣

Section 116 is now property of the Screamin Legion. My apologies to band parents/cheerleading parents/parent parents/etc etc. We waited for no designation and desire none. If you are loud, and if you stand, and if you want to make the Vet an uncomfortable spot for opponents, join us. We've almost got two benches filled. If we can fill even half that section it'll be louder than all non-student sections combined. Guarantee. And to trojanmatt, I've never heard my cheer described that way, but I believe I am "that guy". My apologies to your wife.

I’m definitely down to join in this fun. I try to make at least 1-2 home games a year then if they play in south I always show up to root for the Trojans. But I’ve experienced the same thing at home games sitting on home side and in the GA end zone. One game I sat on the away side above the student section and that was the best experience I was able to do my annoying loud whistle without getting ugly stares…..I wish we would do the thunder sticks more often. That Mississippi state game in 2012 was off the charts loud with them thunder sticks

Bro, this is turning into a support group. This past season, I had a lady record video of me on her phone which she submitted to the ticket office so they would see that I was "cheering the entire game." Would have loved to have read the ticket office's response to this most dire accusation.

If you want to be snooty, snotty, and have a large phallus up your bum... get a luxury box. They are only like 15k a season and you can squeeze 20 pantomimes in there.

I personally love the idea of a section in the stadium for those individuals who want to cheer and support the players! TrojanMatt my wife said she has seen you, but thought you were sitting in the next section, glad to know you are in 116! We often wondered IF we are heard since our seats are under the overhang, but the occasional delay of game OR off sides called against a visiting team inside the 35 yard line we LIKE to THINK was due to our cheering I remember the thundersticks, they were loud, BUT hasn't the Sun Belt Conference attempted to eliminate artificial noise since then. In fact have you ever noticed that even the male cheerleaders do not direct their megaphones towards the playing area? In fact they might just slap the side of them more than they use them to amplify their cheers. Prior to any SBC event they make an announcement about basically "being nice" AND in the past I remember several stadiums making mention of, " Sun Belt Artificial Noisemaker Policy - For the purpose of this regulation, artificial noisemakers are defined as any item that interferes with the normal playing of the game or is disturbing to a significant group of persons who have purchased tickets. Artificial noisemakers (air horns, vuvuzelas, electronic amplifiers, whistles, cow bells, etc.) are not permissible in Sun Belt Conference arenas or stadiums - except as part of the official band. Home game management will remove such items immediately." ALL of this to say, 1) YES, we need all the cheering and STANDING fans in one section; 2) We NEED a blessing or ruling by Troy Athletics on artificial noise in The Vet; 3) AND We need a special section (maybe the upper deck on the visitors side, see underlined words above) for those fans that think cheering is an abomination at a football game LOOK at the progress we are making!!! Less than two weeks ago (The HC we don’t speak of) had us ready to personally enter The Portal IF he was going to return and NOW we are planning a huge welcome for a new coach and a new season. Ryan Kay make it happen! Look at sections 100, 102, 104, 112, 114, 116 AND poll the current season ticket holders (in those six sections) to determine which section would be the easiest to convert to the noisiest section in the stadium!!! After the decision is made, send out a follow up survey to see which fans wish to relocate to THAT SECTION.

IF people were serious about the direction this thread went in regards to a CHEERING & STANDING Section of SEASON TICKET HOLDERS you might need to express that to the Ticket Office staff because 2022 Football Season Tickets are available NOW! I personally believe this might increase sales especially once HCJS starts announcing to people he wants to sell out The Vet

Our first opponent is going to be a tough one there is no doubt. However, I think we will see a new day under our new leader. Not guaranteeing a win but I do expect a result that shows a new Troy pride.

I too sit in 112, and though I have zero opposition to any amount of yelling, standing, etc., I myself can't join in. I sing for a living and have already had vocal nodules surgically removed. Yelling at ballgames isn't a good idea for me. But I can bring a noise-maker.

I do a lot of falsetto wooo wooo and whistles 🤣 bc I lead the band at my church and have to protect the vocal cords as well. But I’ll sing the heck out of the fight song 😎

This is a good discussion with a lot of good ideas, but you’re forgetting something. A significant portion of the seats in any particular lower bowl, home side section are already spoken for. If those people choose to renew those tickets, there’s not much that the athletic department can do with causing a MAJOR public relations nightmare. There are good seats all along the home side that go unsold every year. I sit in 108 and the 3 seats directly in front of mine were not sold as season tickets this past season ( although I’m seriously thinking about taking care of two of those myself). Let’s all commit to being at the games as much as possible, moving to the home side if not there already, and to raising the roof once toe meets leather. If we do that, folks will join in or leave and that will Make what we’re talking about easier to accomplish.

I personally take it as a badge of honor when someone tells me I'm being too loud because I find the idea of coming to a football game and expecting a nice quiet evening hilarious. But others will prefer to just not come back.

If I may be devil's advocate for a moment...
There are some people that have difficulty standing at all, much less for a four hour game. They still want to see the game and support their team. There are also people with children that can't see when everyone in front of them is standing.

The fans that seem to have the most impact on the opposing teams are the ones that are directly behind the opposing teams' bench at Louisiana's Cajun Field. They're constantly loud, and since they are right behind the opposing teams benches they have to interfere with the sideline communications. They call it the Red Zone and it's always been full when I've been there. We could easily move the visiting teams fans to the upper deck and let the students and others expand.

If I’m not mistaken Arkansas state designed the student section to get very close to the opposing teams bench! I never went to MTSU And he said that was the most difficult place to play for him!
