With the 2014 season fast approaching, it’s time to start previewing how the Troy Trojans will look and fare. I’ll start with a unit-by-unit look at the team and post periodically throughout the next couple of weeks. Let’s start with a look at the secondary. 2013 overview: Even with a new coaching lineup, this unit continued to be a problem for the Troy team. The Trojans finished the year as the third-worst passing defense in terms of yards allowed. At times it looked to be getting better, and at times it appeared as lost as ever. Other times, the players were just downright unlucky (see Jeremy Spikner’s tipped pass against South Alabama). Key players no longer with team in 2014: S Chris Pickett, S Camren Hudson, NIC Jeremy Spikner, CB Chris Davis Key players who return: SS JaQuadrian Lewis, CB Ethan Davis, CB Keion Payne, FS Montres Kitchens ( Full Article)

I thought Femi played well at nic but I don't remember Shaq playing there. I do believe we'll be better in the secondary with the added zone coverages...
