Gunnar Watson played really well for it being his first game action in nearly a year. He does seem to be a better passer than Powell at the moment.
Watson finished 24/36 for 270 yards, 2 TD's, and 0 INT's. Very well done.
As for Jamontez Woods... that guy is a fantastic RB. I hope we can hang on to him. He's very good at finding the holes and running through defenders.

We are very deep at RB position. Proud to see Jamontez show his stuff!! Gunnar gets the ball downfield.

I was very glad to see Gunner in there and in spite of our poor coaching which led to almost losing, he got the job done.
I was calling for a QB change long ago and some on the board said "why make a change"? Did any of you see what that freshman QB at Oklahoma did in the game against TX? They have a great starting QB. They were losing the game and made a QB change. BOOM! The momentum shifted, the team responded, and they win the game.

Williams was a 5-star QB that was more of a dual-threat than Rattler who had also thrown 5 INTs this year and struggled with consistency.

My point is that making a QB change to shift the dynamic of what's happening is a strategy. The scale (5* player at a strong team or 2* player on a mediocre team) is a wash.

Why did BJ not play at all after a really good game the week before?

We are very deep at RB position. Proud to see Jamontez show his stuff!! Gunnar gets the ball downfield. Gunnar does something Powell can't (or won't) and that is throw the intermediate (15-25 yard) routes in between the hashes. It opens some things on the offensive side of the ball.

Hmmm??? 5 star is great but Josh Allen was a zero star and I wonder how many stars Tom Brady was. Understand your point but sometimes change is needed and some guys respond to the challenge and some do not. Watson did a good job but we are three seasons now with no consistent QB play so it is either A) we are missing on recruiting talent B) we aren't coaching right C) all of the above

However, he was a highly sought-after quarterback prospect, and where he was rated is consistent with what would be a four-star recruit in today's rating system, per the Maize and Blue News. He narrowed his list down to Michigan, UCLA, USC, California and Illinois before deciding on the Wolverines."
