Inked a 4 game series with the Knights.
2022, 2031 home 2023, 2030 West Point
Amazing get. I assume the folks from Fort Rucker and Benning will be there in force.

A series with Army was something that was proposed years ago and I'm glad to see it's finally happening.

Love the fact we are playing Army while hating the fact we are playing Army. Love playing the Service Academies and what they are and stand for. Hate it because of the style of play they have. They slow it down, grind it out and break you down. They could run for 1,000 yards against us. Flashbacks to the Jeremy Rowell led defense against Navy when they were up 30+ points at halftime.

I admit my memory sucks. However, I remember Jeremy McClain calling me out in a meeting at the Country Club and telling me not to put it on twitter yet, but we were finalizing a home and home with Army. I thought it was announced shortly after that. Am I the only one that thinks this was announced already? If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Hemi or Adam will correct me for sure.

This was a series I was dreaming we got. With Ft Rucker and all the military in close proximity this could be the game we go over 30,000 in attendance (buts in seats not tickets). I love watching the service academies play. Some think its boring but to me I love how disciplined they are (commit very few penalties) and the offense is very similar to what Troy ran 1983-89. We ran true wishbone but we also ran what the academies call flex bone ( two wing backs with one going in motion with a fullback). It can wreak havoc on defenses (think Navy 2011) because all teams see now is Spread and its very difficult to replicate in practice. I believe the rematch with Navy in 2012 we had a reciever who ran that offense in HS so it was a huge help in practice. This will be a game to remember at The Vet for sure. Already can't wait for this one.

This could be a great chance to scratch seeing a game at Michie Stadium off my bucket list

I agree that the first home and home was announced already. I think the new home and home is the "announcement". But I have been wrong before.
I remember telling a guy with a son at Army we were playing them a year or more ago.
