I saw the title of the article and thought, a walking trail would be a great idea, but evidently my thoughts and their thoughts are totally different! The article states, “The City is in the process of designing a walking trail that will be constructed on the stadium site,” Talbot said. “This was the number one request from nearby residents when we surveyed the neighborhood to ask what their wishes were for the future of Ladd. Design work on the trail is 90 percent complete, and the project should be released for bids in the next 3 to 4 weeks." When I saw walking trail I was thinking they finally have realized they need a better SAFE entrance to the stadium site that could be walker friendly! A way to get visitors to the city safely from Government Street to the venue. Like taking McDonald Street which already has a median and converting it to a plaza walk all the way through to the stadium site. West Street could be another possibility. Fortunately for us, I do NOT think there is any reason for The Trojan Nation to return to that neighborhood so we do not need to lose sleep over their plans

YES SIR, I almost stated in my original post that I for one had already served my tours of duty moving through that part of town on numerous game nights, but I figured that would upset someone 👍🏼

Never been to either but I hear our fans complain about Ladd and Legion Field. Which one was worse? I might be bias having been born and raised in the 205, BUT Ladd was worst! Based on sense of security, parking, and concession stands (Legion was worst). Ladd through the years attending Troy games because for USA games, no on-site parking for visitors (DID park in Ladd Peebles lot for all BOWL games) ... 2012 - Trojan Fans parked together on a residential lot a couple of blocks from the stadium arranged by a Troy Fan and we walked collectively to the stadium while some family members guarded / watched our vehicles. 2014 - Using personal connections we parked at a location on Government Street recommended by USA faculty member and walked the four / five blocks (Houston & Virginia Streets) to the stadium. AFTER the game, I made the family walk IN the street with my son on point and me sweeping! 2016 and 2018 - Parked at the mall and rode the shuttle service. Legion (hate that most Troy Fans never were able to see The Old Gray Lady in her glory. Sad to see her without her upper deck) ... 2003, 2006, 2010, 2012, and 2014 pulled into Legion Field parking lot and visited with fellow Trojans until kick off. 2010 was the HOTTEST Troy game we have ever attended! Made the 2014 game at Georgia (Athens) that was SO HOT feel like a refreshing fall day.
