For the second straight year, NFL teams did not select a Troy player in the draft, but it did not take long for several Trojans to join the pro football ranks Saturday. Eric Thomas, the Trojans’ leading receiver last season, agreed to an undrafted free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts just minutes after the draft’s conclusion. Several Trojans also earned invites to teams’ rookie minicamps, including safety Camren Hudson (Seattle Seahawks) and wide receiver Wilson Van Hooser (Green Bay Packers). Both quarterback Corey Robinson and defensive tackle Antonio Gillespie will get their pro football shots with the Cleveland Browns. During an interview with the Dothan Eagle, Thomas kept referring to his signing as a “great opportunity.” “ They offered a great opportunity. I’ll go in trying to win a spot on their 53-man roster,” he said. “It’s the best possible fit.” ( Full Article) iconTroy3

Any word on whether or not Deon got any calls? IMO Deon has much more to offer an NFL team than Corey.

Reminds me of a Brad Smith or Randal El Al. But I think he is just as good as Corey at QB. He threw very well and made plays, he just didn't get the opportunity to show what he could do other than FIU in 2012 and he led us to victory. Hope he gets a shot, he would make a great wildcat threat.
