So apparently, our depth at running back is depleted enough that we had to source the student body and find Tanner Blatt. This is both concerning and a great story. I hope he does well.

All good. You win some and lose some. Injuries are part of the game.
DT will take a 1 * walk on with passion over a slew of 5*'s with a bad attitude and a "What can you do for me and screw what can I do for you for my free education" state of mind any day.

True. I wonder what his experience is at the position though.

I hope the SID and the delivery company take full advantage of this feel good story. We cannot buy exposure to equal this event.

Tanner Blatt was a backup RB at Opelika behind Josh Johnson (ULM's starting RB).
I thought Blatt looked pretty good for a guy that hasn't played much and didn't have a lot of time to prepare. I liked his ability to find the running lanes.
He's also a beast physically. Did anyone see him in the press conference? His arms are freakin' cannons.

Great feel good story. I do have a question about all the injuries. Is it due to conditioning issues? People not performing exercises, tackles, etc... properly? Or is it just bad luck?

Saw Blatt on the sideline. He doesn’t have his name on his jersey. We should do that.

These wvu mouth breathers reek of soy. Blatt has jolly time in front of a full length mirror while locking tear filled eyes. This dude thinks he "ran circles" around the starters. He threw out some performance data. He says he ran a 4.4 40. Is that on paper somewhere?

Also, just a general note about West Virginia. They suck, they will always suck. Marshall is the premier football power in that state. Neal Brown will one day return to us with his pockets full of WVU money. He will settle in at Troy and give us 15 years of 10 win seasons. WVU will cry about it.

I'll take Gamers all day.

I'm sure there is some truth to what Blatt says. I have no illusions that the TROY football program, or any other for that matter, is all unicorns and rainbows. How much much of what he he says is truth and how much is bitterness and animosity over not being able to play, I can't say. I will say, though, that this man may be the most arrogant and cocky "humble" guy I've ever seen. From recounting his abilities and accolades, to saying multiple times how ALL of his former teammates would have nothing but good to say about him, he is full of himself. I am not impressed.

Thirty three minutes, thirteen seconds of my life I can never get back. What is the point of this? What will these two "journalist" gain from their 15 minutes of fame? Maybe ESPN will hire them to handle all the breaking news. I want to thank Tanner for his service for our country, I mean that. As for this interview, how did it start? Did WVU geniuses send out an "all-call" to any disgruntled players who ever played for CNB? Did Tanner reach out to the future ESPN guys and say "wow I have a story for you"? At the end of the day, I don't get why this is a story and why it's on our message board or why I'm even commenting on it. Stupid me

Actually I began skimming and then caught the part “where he talks a good game comments”. Just did not listen to good story with bash a coach. Can’t wait in a couple of years we get “the Nightline” 20/20, or 30 for 30 of a former cheerleader at some unknown college about being woooo’d by an unknown coach. That one I might watch till the end. At least I will know it’s not just bitching about how things did not go her way. Heck there could even be a sequel by several different schools be they in Central Florida or North Carolina or where ever. This thing had no intrigue about how a person could fool so many.
Nope turned it off before the end and do thank him for his service and YES those who are more sought after often do get better chances. Just wait till NIL and the musical chair portal are in hyper drive. Great stories to come!!

Thanks for the heads up. He was never given a shot. He was the the best guy in the RB room, running circles around the starters. He ran the practice squad. CNB is a silver tongued hypocrite, acting one way in public, another behind the scenes. None of his teammates would ever have a negative thing to say about him. Oh, and he’s humble. Did I miss anything?

However, something kept coming to mind as I heard the things you point out and then began thinking about Charlie Brown’s teacher “blah blah blah blah blah” thinking every other blah would be Me and the other blah would be “they or he bad”.
