I will wait for the cliff notes to come out. Thanks for the heads up. He was never given a shot. He was the the best guy in the RB room, running circles around the starters. He ran the practice squad. CNB is a silver tongued hypocrite, acting one way in public, another behind the scenes. None of his teammates would ever have a negative thing to say about him. Oh, and he’s humble. Did I miss anything? Wow!!!! I’m glad I didn’t take the time to listen.

It's Division I-A college football. It's a business, like it or not. The best players play.
No way I'm going to believe he was outperforming Chunn, Smith, and Billingsley.

I'm going to say one final thing. HCNB, just like HCJS and all other FB coaches at all levels, KNOW that their job security, therefore their livelihood, is directly tied to the success of the program they oversee. Coaches are always going to play the players whom they feel give them the best chance at winning. That may not always be the player, who on paper, is "best". There are a lot of intangibles that go into making a player good or bad. HCNB is a very smart guy (the player in question said so as well) and there is no way he assigned reps or playing time to "favorites", he couldn't, and can't, afford to do so. As to the differences in treatment for the scholarship players vs walk-ons, the hospital I work for rewards top performers with larger raises, promotions, and such perks as committee positions, positions that sometimes include things such as meetings held around meals, off campus activities for outreach (think a day away from the regular grind) etc. These are INCENTIVES to drive performance. This lesson, as well as many other valuable life lessons, are easily taught in college athletics, if the participant is willing to learn.

Don't you dare leave off the great Josh Anderson! As it was said by someone else on here. WVU is done, they are nothing. I hate it for CNB, they are as good as they will ever be. WVU fans can't accept it, but they better prepare too because it will be basketball season year round in Morgantown from now on.

Don’t remember this guy. Why is the thread titled newest running back? Is he coming back?

I posted it because I thought it was relevant. This thread is about Blatt, this interview is about his time at Troy with NB, NB is still mentioned as wanted back at Troy at some point by several board members, many of us still follow what's going on with him at WVU and why players are leaving (issue of culture?), and I'm a poster on this board who wondered if other Troy fans thought Blatt was a little off his nut at worse or at best, suffered under his own mismanaged expectations and misunderstandings. Wondering if that's enough of my reasoning for why I posted it on our message board - under the appropriate thread, at that.
Obviously nobody is forcing you to watch or reply, so if you don't want to waste your time with this particular thread feel free to take up that time with the many, many other threads that are happening now because the board is absolutely hopping mad here at post-season. I'm surprised this even got noticed with so many other posts happening.

Don’t remember this guy. Why is the thread titled newest running back? Is he coming back? If you look at the first post of the thread, it is dated September, 2019. At that time, he was our newest RB (although he had been in the program, left, and was coming back). He's not coming back again. He's serving vn the AF. Not only that, I have a pretty good idea that if he came back, he wouldn't receive a warm TROJAN welcome...unless he comes back on Military Appreciation Day representing the AF.

Thanks for posting, nothing else much going on here. Glad I watched it all, my minutes are obviously less valuable than others here!!

After 3 years time I change my view on this guy from "Fantastic" (Off the field) to a "major whiny @ss, participation trophy receiving, Dbag". And like Hemi, I just read the Cliff Notes here.
HCJS, if you read this. Take note on the WVU fans turning on HCNB. If you leave make it worth it. Historically middle of the road - $hitty P5 football programs will always be middle of the road - $hitty P5 football programs. Just like with Deon at Colorado. They will be a middle of the road - $hitty P5 football programs but with 5 star athletes and a coach with a household name.

Using your logic, JS shouldn’t take the HC (if it ever came open) at his beloved University of Kentucky, since it’s a middle of the road shi$$y job. Got to have perspective, success means different things at different programs.
