Am I the only one that though Cunningham's twitter post about his firing was a little odd? It's a little strange that he's putting the way the season ended on the fact that Jordon Varnado wasn't playing. He also mentions that he got the first win in program history over UAB (even though he went 0-4 against them prior to this season). And then he says that Troy has won the 6th-most conference games over the past three years? As if having the 6th-most intra-conference wins is something to crow about? It's funny that he mentioned "we won the 6th-most conference games" but conveniently left out the conference record for that same span, which was 24-30. I wish him the best and hope he finds success elsewhere, but come on... he acts like he was blindsided by this after having only one winning season in six years.

Hemi wrote that release for him, so no not that shocked.

He's in a level of denial that requires immediate medical treatment

He’s just setting himself up for another school to see his resume and hire him as an assistant or HC somewhere.
I wouldn’t look to hard into it.

Cunningham is trying to save face. I think Troy was more than fair to stick with him for as long as they did with the record he produced.

When is the basketball signing period? It would seem like we're going to need to get a coach in place but with the tournament fixing to start it could be a little bit
