2-part article, worth the read! Lots of CNB/Troy references! Part I Purpose, humility and investment pitches to his bosses marked Brown’s rise to West Virginia- wvmetronews.com/2019/02/25/neal-brown-getting-here-part-i/Part II The QB Neal Brown wouldn’t let walk alone. The coordinator who hired him on the cheap. And his ace recruiter when it comes to mamas, grandmamas and aunties. wvmetronews.com/2019/02/26/neal-brown-getting-here-part-ii/ByAllan Taylorataylor@wvradio.com@GAllanTaylorAllan Taylor joined MetroNews in August 2012, following 18 years of newspaper, magazine and multimedia work as an SEC columnist, sports editor, managing editor, news reporter and media consultant. Yeah why would you read about your ex-girlfriend... even if she mentions you.

Yeah why would you read about your ex-girlfriend... even if she mentions you. Well if she says you were the best she ever had and that she was going to miss you and circumstances led to the separation .....you might read it. Particularly the part where she said you were the best she ever had (and just could not fathom anything better). Yeah that part I would read

Yeah why would you read about your ex-girlfriend... even if she mentions you. XCNB was no one's girlfriend at Troy. He did good by us, we did good by CNB. He left Troy FAR better off than the dumpster fire he inherited. He left on good terms, was not a messy breakup. cornhole always interested in Trojan Empire, past, present and future.

We were spoiled having one coach since the early 90's. You can't expect us not to feel a little butt hurt when we wonder if the T-Roy costume isn't in Morgantown, because he took everything else with him. I wish him well, but I'd rather not see anything else posted here about what he's doing there. Each to their own though I guess.

I am relatively sure not many are fighting, recruiting or hoping for TRoy to go to any other campus. I am afraid that mighty mascot is ours (better in this form than pinky). But no doubt ours to keep

I think you took that way too literally. I suggest another cup of morning coffee. Having said that, I prefer the T-Roy that took down Big Red from the Hilltoppers.

I wonder if Bowling Green posted articles about Urban Myer at Utah, UF, and Ohio St. And I wonder if Grand Lakes U. ran articles on Brian Kelly at CMU and Notre Dame?

I wonder if Bowling Green posted articles about Urban Myer at Utah, UF, and Ohio St. And I wonder if Grand Lakes U. ran articles on Brian Kelly at CMU and Notre Dame? Difference is we like Neal? He was probably one of the best coaches, along with his staff, that we will ever have. And to me at least, he was a sincere person. For what it's worth, unless current coach totally screws everything up, we won't be talking about him at all in a year or two.

Brown was a totally respectable class-act full of character that gives honor to TROY. I hate to see him somewhere else but I'll cheer for him still unless he's playing TROY and will follow his career in the future. I have NO problem with any who want to, keeping up and chatting over his progress. It's totally fine and respectable not to read the thread if you don't want to. You can read any of the hundreds of other daily posts we have on the board in the off-season. Oh, wait....dozens. Oh, wait....tens? Maybe?
Suddenly, I think we have plenty of room for banter about Brown.

I liked NB and wish him the best but I dont care to read articles about him at the school he left us for. I'll root for WVU if I watch them on TV but I'm not following them or care about any interviews he does.

Great article on CNB. I hope he is very successful at WVU. Unfortunately, losing great coaches to Power 5 schools is the reality of being a very successful little fish in a big pond in the world of D1 football. Call me crazy, but I hope there are many more articles for me to read in the future like the CNB article about a former Troy coach now in the "BIG TIME". That means that Troy football is doing very well!
