So how would one still have a job at a place you left to take another job at another place and then leave that place to take a job at another place??? Of course you would still have a job at Auburn if you hadn't left for Kansas. Troy had nothing to do with that

Of course you would still have a job at Auburn if you hadn't left for Kansas. Troy had nothing to do with that It makes sense. If he would've wanted to stay in a situation where he the HC was meddling and keeping him from really running the offense ... he could've stayed at AU. When he took the KU job, it didn't look like the Troy Job was coming open this season ... just as we all thought!! It's very logical. So, however he got here ... he's our coach. He impressed yesterday at the presser. Now it's time to get behind him ... and Judge him on his Results. I didn't think Neal was the best guy available for our job 4 years ago ... but he turned out to be a pleasant surprise. He made mistakes and he has lot to learn about having a team ready every week ... no matter the opponent ... but he's obviously a talented young coach and he left us better of than when he got here. Now ... it's time to give (The HC we don’t speak of) that same chance to surprise us. Go Trojans!!

What is the reason to discuss Auburn when youâre two jobs down the road? Malzahn is great. Working with Miles is a huge opportunity. I always wanted to be head coach at Troy. Next?

You are the HC at Troy now. Auburn is two jobs ago.

Lord Please help me because DT is trying to stay positive and is finding it difficult. He maybe completed 4 sentences in the presser without breaking off and starting another.
Now were still talking about the Barn? He just seems to be all about (The HC we don’t speak of). Prove me wrong HHCL. Please prove me wrong.

Maybe because that's what the interviewer asked about, to just put a timeline in place as well as dig at the insider info of "did you leave AU because you wanted to or because you had to"? I think some of you are just being so nit-picky. So you stated you didn't like the hire. Done. Can you now move on and get on board until he gives you more cause or are you gonna look at every little stupid thing to pick at all spring and summer. I hope not. That'll make for a long, annoyingly pessimistic time.

Yes, it happened quickly, but now I’m here. There was absolutely no need to expound on his friendship with Gus. He was covering his butt for being overruled on play calling. Gus is also trying to cover for him. I don’t like or dislike the fact he’s here. But shut up about the past, reporter questions or not, and get on the phone looking for a staff, securing signees, sealing the deal on those still waiting to sign and steal a few from Auburn. GO TROY!

How is this difficult to fathom? My point was he left Auburn for Kansas Dec 3 after planning on leaving in Nov. So why do you say you would still be OC at Auburn?

Ok.....any of us who over about a week went from learning what a Jayhawks is to becoming head coach and knowing that you were replacing a much beloved coach and the fan base had expectations and my wife and kids uprooting them and oh wow this University has changed since been here. You get the idea a lot of questions from all over. Most of us would not make a good deal of sense at times

Look, I know recruits see this and negativity is not good but his comments here are negative and clearly him covering his @ss so I shall go on. Also, they are swayed by the staff not some fella in a white visor sipping on Mic Ultra over in the NEZ and talking to bros on the internet in his spare time. I left a job in 2015 that was crappy but I knew I was good and could do it. I left for a carrer path i wasnt sure I could handle so left the other job smooshing up to my crappy boss just like Chippy is doing in this article. Hes out for himself. Personally I think hes a leave mid season kind of guy if it means a bit of a raise. DT out. Not discussing this fella anymore until my access to the TW board is granted by Trojan Warrior. You gentlemen have a lovely Saturday

I can see where the article will raise some concerns. I don’t know how legitimate those concerns are, but he’s our coach. If he wins 11 this year and leaves I’m ok with that. If he wins 7 or 8 there will be a lot of questions to be answered.

I know he has passed away but where is Rodney King when you need him......not the one who was a hideous human being running from the PoPo or the one getting beat up but the one said “Can’t we all just get along”. As Hemi said, win a bunch and it will be ok. Not win a bunch we can B**** and not get along then

Everyone knows I'm not the biggest (The HC we don’t speak of) fan, but I'm giving him a shot... I'm still getting an autographed picture of him for my wall, cause he's our coach... Just hope he pleasantly surprises me.
