So who are your top 3 favorite receivers of all time to ever step on the field at the Vet? I’m basing mine on the era from my own observations from mid 90s to present. Im also not looking just looking at stats...more of impact players.
1- Jerrel Jernigan - hands down the greatest playmaker I’ve ever witnessed at Troy. 2 Jason Samples- model of consistency in those early years of FCS. 3 Dan Brady- he was an absolute freak of nature. Best combo of size and speed I’ve ever seen.

This is just from my time as a Trojan: 2003-present
1) Jerrel 2) Eric Thomas: his catch against south alone does it for me 3) Gary Banks: clutch in those early transition years to spread

1) Jerrel - He was THE difference maker. 2) Eric Thomas - Hands that could catch anything. 3) (The HC we don’t speak of) Reeves - Best deep threat Troy has had in the spread era.

Greg Harris and Titus Dixon from 1984-88. Greg was a 7th round draft pick for the NY Giants and Titus played for years in the Arena League. Titus holds the longest TD reception in Troy history (99 yds). Both ran 4.4's but played in the wishbone so didn't have the big stats. Would love to have seen them play in this offense. Both great receivers that never get the recognition they deserve. They were lethal on reverses to

Jernigan and TY Hilton both dominated the SBC for four years. -- and then some others: C.Williams, Gary Banks, and some more

Wasn't Orlando Parker a WR? I think I'd have to put him on the list.

Titus and Greg were from Clewiston, FL and Pahokkee, FL. Both down in sugar cane farming by Lake Okechobe. Area is known for speed (Antwan Bolden etc). They burn the cane fields to promote growth and it flushes out thousands of rabbits. They say the kids there chase the rabbits and that's how they develop their speed. I have a good friend I grew up with that played for Florida and 9 years in the NFL. He coaches in college and he's scouted what is called The Muck Bowl, the annual game between Pahokee and Glades Central. He said there's as much speed on the field as most NFL games....sadly a lot of them don't qualify so they go JUCO. That's how we got Omar, he was from down there
