I never made it to the Trojan Zone. Was it a wings and burgers kind of place or did it have a more diverse menu?

I never made it to the Trojan Zone. Was it a wings and burgers kind of place or did it have a more diverse menu? The usual sports bar fare. But it wasn't like fast food. Their wings were fantastic (by far the best in Troy) and they had a variety of burgers that were very good also (loved the blue cheese burger). They also served home-fried chips with homemade jalapeno ranch dip (addictive as crack), a full bar and a variety of beers on tap. My wife and I ate their about every other week.

I never got to eat there sadly. My daughter became a vegan (she would eat fish) when she came to Troy so I had to eat at Half Shell every game. You said the best wings in Troy? I'm curious as to who else has wings in Troy. Wouldn't mind trying some next trip now that daughter has graduated.

Try 'em at your local Ruby. Santa Fe may have wings, don't remember. So they may be forgettable. Our marinated wings at our tailgate seem to disappear.

I haven’t had the wings from Preston’s but all their other food is excellent. I also have uncle JR’s wing recipe. (That’s not a joke)

I never hear anything about Rooks.....best greasy fake cheese pizza in town! Been closed for years. I also remember the double delight (I think?) back in the day. We use to get chilli dogs there. Other than McDonalds and Hardees, all the restraunts from my day are closed or moved....Rooks, Crowes, Western Sizzler, Double Delight, Trojan Subs?? (was next door to the bookstore by the apartments at the end of university before Brundidge St.) and thankfully the old Stewart Hall Dining lol

I lived on the corner of Park and University, in a building owned at the time by Dr. Hawkins (The Vet)...Rooks was within walking distance....I must have carried that place, seems like I ordered at least 4 times a week....What about Ben's on the Lake....when ever we had a date, that was theeee place to take them!

I remember that Ben's was on I think Elm, I would take a right on Elm from College, and the restaurant was on a lake just past the back side of the golf course on the left side of Elm heading away from town...

You need to find your way back to Troy in the near future. Start off with Gameday in the backyard of the Alumni House then make your rounds!!

I am, for the Boise Game, I have had no luck in buying tickets, no one seems to know when single game tickets go on sale, I've called twice....I was wanting to get Press Box or something with AC....The wife is not a Southern Girl, and will not appreciate the 100% humidity and 90+ temp... I will make the rounds, need to check out all the new buildings, and for sure pick up some Merch at the bookstore, assuming its still at the Adams Center. Alumni House....it used to be called Alumni Hall...my dorm room was on the first floor!
