in the middle of the meltdown that is ongoing today, one thing hasn't been mentioned and I'm curious if anyone has any info and concerned about what the answer MAY be.
Midway through the the third qtr, on an otherwise unremarkable play, Chunn went down. When the training staff arrived multiple members were moving with an urgency not usually seen. After a short time, Chunn left the field, entered the tent and emerged to go to the locker room. He did not return. As he was leaving the field he was walking strangely. I didn't note a limp, so I couldn't tell if it was a leg injury or arm/shoulder injury and he was just leaning to favor the arm.
This morning I watched the game on my DVR. When Chunn left the game he had a HUGE bandage on the outside of his right calf...the kind of large, thick, tape wrapped bandage used as a pressure dressing to stop bleeding. I rewound the video and the bandage was not on his leg on the previous play. I'm wondering if his leg got gashed and the wound was severe enough he couldn't return (multiple stitches, maybe?). If this is the case, I'm concerned if he'll be ready, or even able to vs GA State. Does anyone have solid info on the injury?

It was a laceration, but that's all I know at this point.

Troy will be fine without Chunn against Georgia State. Great opportunity for big man Anderson and Henderson to step up and show us what they've got.

At times, an individual's actions scream "Look at me!" whether that is the intent of the individual or not. While I think he is potentially one of the most electrifying runners we've had at TROY, I'm not yet sold on Henderson. As I've seen him get dead ball personal foul penalties for bumping and "jawing" a defender and seeing similar actions go unpenalized after almost every play in which he is involved, the "Look at me!" scream has gotten my attention. Last night, after an exciting nine yard run, at the end of which he took a pretty good pop on the perimeter that drove him several yards out of bounds (legal hit, BTW), an assistant coach had to grab him by the shoulder pads to keep him going after the defender. On another play on the USA sideline, a teammate had to restrain him to prevent the same thing. Finally, during a time out late in the game, but while there was still time to attempt a comeback, he was walking around outside the offensive squad huddle rather than joining it and trying to find a way to win. I was excited when I heard he was coming to TROY and I'm still looking forward to what is, hopefully, a productive and exciting career for him at TROY. ?As time goes forward, however, I'm becoming less convinced that will be the case.

Cream rises to the top and turds sink. Time will tell but I noticed the same thing and that was watching on TV

I want to add one thing. I don't mean for this post to be a bashing. Instead, it's just my observations and an expression of some concerns I have. In the interest of fairness to Mr. Henderson, let me say one of the things I read about his time at Memphis and his time in high school just up the road from me, was that he was a team player, was unselfish, and was a leader, even as a freshman at Memphis. I hope what I've seen so far is just a result of high emotion on his part and I'm willing to give him time before I form a final opinion. I hope that in three years, we can look back and talk about him as one of TROY's greats.

I say let Henderson off the chain just one time... 15 yards and an ejection may be what the doctor prescribes.
