Should we be concerned about the kicking game? Have already missed 5 kicks in 4 games (PAT and FG). Missed a total of 5 in 2016. Thoughts?

Is it time to go for 2 and go for it on 4th and short yardage?

Kicking was a big concern coming out of camp. One quarter of the season and it's still a major concern. It could have cost them a win last night. I guess my question would be, is it fixable?

Is it time to go for 2 and go for it on 4th and short yardage? No guts, no glory. I'd do that in most cases with this team even if the kicking game was 100%. They rock the 4th down! smiley-eatdrink009

Is it fixable? Yes, there is talent there. NB gave Legassey his chance last night. I get he’s a true freshmen thrown into the fire but that was a fairly easy kick to make.

Am I the only one that was worried that Kaleb Barker had just run 48-yards for the score AND then had to hold for the extra point? Remember it takes THREE people to execute any extra point or field goal attempt!

Remember it takes THREE people to execute any extra point or field goal attempt! It could have been the reason. We just haven't been fortunate in getting points by kicking. I have all the confidence in the coaches and players that this will get better. At least we can score TDs. If we were like Auburn last season then we would be in a bad spot.

When we missed it i figured that was the reason (the hold). But that doesnt excuse the other missed PAT last week...

So a 19 year old can't run 48 yards and then 45-60 seconds later kneel and place a snap on the ground? If so we are out of shape. We are starting to sound like Hillary Clinton's excuses for losing the election. Was it a good snap? If yes then the kid missed the kicked.

That’s like saying “Hey, the quarterback just ran a play, scrambled around and then took off running to escape the rush. Wait, we need to take him out because he might be tired and wouldn’t be able to throw the next pass. “

There are no excuses for a missed extra point in my opinion if the holder gets the ball down (which he did). If you watch the replay it was solid contact just pushed it right. It will be addressed this week and hopefully fixed. Barker is a freak of an athlete and that TD run Didn’t cause a miss

He was a terrific high school kicker. Where is he at?

Legassey? He banged a 36 harder off the upright Saturday night and has been named the place kicker for this weeks game.
