9 of our 11 losses are by 2 possessions or less. We could just as easily be sitting at 21-2 versus 12-11. I know everyone doesn't look at it like I do but to me that's improvement. We are ready to turn the corner. I believe!!!

Having never played the game on even a rec league level, I feel I'm unqualified to offer an opinion about the ills of our team (coaching vs player execution vs the reasonS for late game collapses). As I read this board though, it's obvious to me there are two ways to interpret those numbers. One, like KSD stated, we're close and ready to turn the corner and should be patient. Two , we're close, have the talent, and are ready to turn the corner and the fact that we haven't indicates a failure on the part of the coaching staff. I suspect the truth is some combination of the two. Fortunately identifying and addressing the cause of our ills is not in my job description. We are paying our AD well to make that determination and I suspect that little of our message board banter will have an impact on his decisions. I think this is how it should be. We only have to look to our NW and NE to see some of the problems that occur when non athletic department personnel get involved in these decisions (think PBJ AND UAB, Bobby Lowder and Bobby Petrino). Our AD is in year two, (maybe three) of his job and I think he has done a pretty good job. I say, let's allow him to continue doing it until it's evident he's failing.
