Exactly how would he show you something you don't understand? He has done away with primarily recruiting jucos and bringing in mostly HS players. You should be able to appreciate that above all else. That is no 1 or 2 year deal. This is about where they should be with the exception of the injuries.
It's all good though, I'm sure JM appreciates you doing his job so he doesn't have to...

So four years in we should be .500?? Glad Rigby had higher aspirations than you did and didn't settle for .260 her first three years. Also it's the easiest sport to turn around quickly

Some things are easier said than done. LB year one 5-6. Year two 10-1. NB year one 4-8. Year two 10-3. Rigby year three 20 wins. year four NCAA's.

I know I brought up the schedule myself, but even if you disregard that, why is the bar set at .500 after four years, especially for such a great recruiter?

It's not like Troy never played championship basketball and we did it in a dump. Nobody wants to say it's coaching, the same group that defended Rowell, Bolt and the prior football staff saying it was players not executing and we didn't have discipline/off field issues are the same saying it's " free throws, players not executing etc". I'm waiting for the next press conference that says "Texas is retaining Charlie Strong as head coach and we are releasing the team. A national search will begin immediately for new players"

I am hoping we win all our remaining games, win the tournament, go to Big Dance and advance to the Sweet 16.
Let's retrench, support the team the rest of the way and evaluate the staff at the end of the year.
Out.

I have never heard Coach Cunningham, Mr. McClain, Dr. Hawkins, or anyone else at Troy University even imply that .500 is the standard. No one on this message board sets the bar. As far as I can tell no coach, administrator, alum or fan desires any of our teams to shoot for .500. If I am wrong, and someone here is indeed satisfied with .500, please speak up as to why you feel that way.

Through the first three seasons they accepted .260

Really the main difference is we are winning more games than losing, at least at this point.... What if you don't count D2 teams, non-NCAA teams, and SWAC teams? I don't really know. What if grasshoppers had machine guns, do you think the brids would still attack them?

Hell, let's just give Cunningham a 30 year extension and wait until we can blame the worn out Trojan Arena for .300 seasons. If beating up on NAIA teams is what you like, go for it.
