Ok, I promise to quit creating new threads after this, LOL, I just wanted to share this.
During the pregame, when the PA guy was giving the "cry havoc" soliloquy, he paused for the briefest time after saying "Cry" and the stadium erupted with "Havoc". A young lady sitting in front of me, who is a student and was sitting with her parents, turned to me and said "what was that? Is that a thing?" I grinned, nodded my head and said, "it's a growing thing".
just another example of the growing crowd involvement and interest. Times, they are a changing.

What is the full monologue? I can't remember the whole thing and want to put it in my classroom.

With Mighty warriors clad in strongest armor, and well prepared to recieve the lot dealt by fate, the contest is at hand. And the commander's spirit, raging for revenge, shall, in a monarchs voice, cry Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war.

What is the full monologue? I can't remember the whole thing and want to put it in my classroom. "And so, with mighty warriors clad in strongest armor and well-prepared to receive the lot dealt by fate, the contest is at hand. And the commander's spririt, ranging for revenge, shall in a monarch's voice cry, 'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war." Based on a line in Julius Caesar, Act 3, Scene 1.

And the commander's spirit, raging for revenge, shall, in a monarchs voice, cry Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war. Is it "raging for revenge" or "ranging for revenge"? It sounds like he says ranging, but that doesn't make as much sense as raging.

I like the new part while the other half of the band was getting on the field during the cadence. (Fate whispers to the warrior, "you cannot withstand the storm." And the warrior whispers back, "I am the storm.")

We ran into Paul McNeely at the SOTS mixer last weekend and told him about the whole havoc thing. He was wearing a Cry Havoc t-shirt his wife had made up for a fund raiser. But he said he noticed people shouting it with him in the stadium. You guys got a good thing started!

Sorry, I was arguing with a friend, I thought it was ranging, but he disagreed. You think I should know it being a SOTS alum, but a two hours of sleep in 48 can mess with ya
