So they will start having games there as well? Would be better then the dump they play in.

The tweet and the news reports all stated approval was given for a "covered" practice facility. Given the history between the UA BoT and UAB, I'm wondering if this will be an indoor facility or a pole barn. I wouldn't be surprised to find the latter is true.

UAB will break ground in August. The Football operations facility will include locker rooms, meeting rooms, offices, football-specific weight room, sports medicine facility, dining hall, and equipment rooms. Included in the project are two regulation-size sport turf football fields and an 80yd natural grass practice field.

Guess they won't be practicing punting in the giant car port/pole barn

Field goals and nets are in the plan... our "carport" will top out around 75ft.
When is Troy's facility breaking ground?
