I'm beginning to worry about this baseball team... they are 1-6 in the last 7 games. They have lost those games by an average of 5 runs and they simply aren't very good at hitting. Troy got demolished by Samford and UAB, and they aren't exactly dominate.
Please don't tell me baseball is going to go the way of basketball. It's already not looking good for the game against Jax State tomorrow...
I think I read where the 14 batters Troy walked against Samford was a record? That's almost walking two batters per inning.

We started 7-1, have gone 1-6 since, should we be in panic mode?

NO panic here! I forgot about that game last night before I even walked out the gate of field. Looking to the REST of the season and NOT taking anything away from the game last night. Conference play starts Friday at 6:00 pm.
What I CAN tell you about this team, they FEED off their fan base, so as many as possible need to be at conference games whenever YOUR schedule permits! GO TROJANS!

Not to be contrary, but lack of hits was not the issue, we out hit Samford 15-11. Still an ugly loss, the pitching apparently was not as good as we have been getting. A bunch of hits are not always a good thing, we must hit when it matters, with runners in scoring position. 14 walks and 3 errors will usually get you beat.

Mr Ho nailed it again. Losing brings the posters out while it appears winning frustrates some of them.
Our young baseball team is going through some growing pains. To this point everything Coach Smartt said before the season is proving to be true.

Looking at that game from a number stand point, we out hit Samford, however when you walk more (14) then they are getting hits (11), you are going to have some issues. Also, when you have one half of th3e runs being unearned (allowed 10 ER), you're also not going to have the best day. However, they are young and will hopefully get things back on track. In the mean time, Whup Jax St.

Cardinal, According to some folks on here, you are not allowed to post nothing but sunshine and good feelings on this site just in case some guy at the Shanghi Campus is offended. To these folks its seems not to matter if Troy wins or not.

You can cloud up and rain on every sports parade that's not living up to your expectations, that's your right. I just gave ONE GUYS opinion that from some IT DOES GETS OLD. I bet everyone knows the MBB program has not lived up to expectations and all of us want improvements made...duh! What I said was let's keep the PERSONAL stuff......eeerrrr personal. GIVE GENERAL OBSERVATIONS, good or bad, as much as you have the need to but going face to face is tougher with a certain player or coach than doing it from behind a keyboard anonymously but heck, given your playing time at Troy and coaching experience you've obviously had, who's to judge. Man, what we are trying to say is prospective athletes, their parents, families read this stuff so what do you/we gain by CONSTANTLY pointing out how sorry you think some coach or a program is. If I were a high school kid or their parent why would I pick Troy after reading fans blast their program and coach on a website? Go directly to the source, call the AD, call the head man in Montgomery, call coach Cunningham (or whatever coach is on the menus this week) and tell them EXACTLY how you feel and I will applaud you for doing that but doing it (personal stuff) here TO ME is inappropriate but that's just ONE GUYS opinion!

What have I said about baseball coach ? I have stated over and over the Cunningham needs one more year. I love your opinion, it's just not accurate all the time. Don't give up though. I love the 1st Amendment. And for those of us who served, it is sad you do not believe this country is great anymore. I feel sorry for you if you feel this way. Also please use some paragraphing/spacing in your posts. I love reading your posts, love the debate, but some of your posts are a giant run-on sentence that is blinding my retinas. America ! Or 'Mercia baby ! For some of y'all.

Also, I am not calling out coaches but stating facts. Do you honestly think a high school kid or family member doesn't know the teams depth chart, records and etc. ? Get real. Name one college program where the fans don't discuss the positive and negatives aspects/ happenings/issues of a program and the high school kids don't see the discussion. For the name of all that is Troy, these high school recruits of all sports have Twitter accounts that are bombarded by the fans and COACHES of teams everyday. Please get real. Even the elite coaches are negative recruiting on social media !

Even the elite coaches are negative recruiting on social media ! Two points, 1. I never singled you out, you are just the one who responded when I said "a few" are negative and 2. If doing that makes your day, have at it . It boils down to the philosophy we have lived by all our lives I suppose and I agree, it's changed lately! P.S. You are right, a lot of today young folks do that same thing everywhere....sad isn't it? That's why I used my second amendment rights to say "or at least use to be (great)" referring to what we use to be! Still the greatest when looking at the others that's why I can't understand why such a push to be like others but that's for another discussion somewhere else! ! I don't see the moral values we live by in this country now a days makes any country "great" anymore! Maybe we can return to our former greatness by reassessing our moral compass. Oh, THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!
