If only we made all of our shots, we would have won.
Maybe we need to bring in a couple new big men and perimeter shooters, maybe a real speedy point guard ?
It is not perplexing to lose by 21 when you shot as poorly as we do. It boggles the mind why this team cannot make free throws !
One more game, let's win on a high note and win our 10th !

I've got to say... for everyone that said this team was getting better as the season went on, they in fact got worse. Starting at the mid-point of the season, the team literally got worse in every single statistical category. As for this Texas State game, that was one of the worst showings I've seen this season. The defense was not very good when it came to clamping down on the open guys out in the perimeter. There were multiple times where a Texas State player was WIDE OPEN for a 3-pointer... hence their 64% shooting percentage from 3-point range, which is almost unheard of. John Walton III was actually our best player, BY FAR, last night. He actually played his butt off. Varnado did good too, but he just wasn't making his shots. Lastly, the free-throw shooting was, again, abysmal. 57% free-throw percentage??? I don't even know the words to say at this point about that... Coach Cunningham... please recruit some players that can shoot the basketball on a D1 level. sFi_lance

We lose a big man and a shooting guard is coming on board...we have big men that'll have to step up. Good core group that needs to step up as a group to succeed.

Guys needs to step up. You can see the difference between a team like UAB, who has guards and forwards that are ACTIVE around the basket, and Troy. UAB guys will fly in out of nowhere to snag a rebound. That's one thing we don't see much of on our team. Even that extra amount of effort would make a difference.
