Greetings! Looking forward to the trip and what should be a good game. The Trojans are looking good the last three weeks as the offense is clicking. At the same time the Eagles are working against a 9-man box and being dared to complete a pass. I think this game comes down to defense and I think if we go by the last three games, Troy should be favored. Both teams are capable of explosive big plays and I think those will be the difference. Whichever defense can contain the big play wins the game.
OT- My group will be arriving Friday evening. Can you guys recommend restaurants for supper? Is there a local breakfast joint near some shops for the ladies?

Is there a local breakfast joint near some shops for the ladies? Sips on the Square, Sweet Rack, or Flo's would be my first choices for Supper. For breakfast I would recommend Julia's or Dolce . Julia's is a Buffett and Dolce is a Europian bakery with limited seating but great food.

Boutique shops and large antique shop down town on the square. Sips (nice pizza place), Sweet Racks Rib Shack, Momma Goldbergs, Milky Moos (ice cream/sandwhiches) are all on the sqaure. Flo's is a just off the square. I would recommend Sips or Sweet Racks for for Dinner Friday night. Sips has great pizza with good atmosphere. Have a good wine/decent beer selection. Sweet Racks has great ribs and smoked chicken. Not a very deep beer selection, though.

Appreciate the travel tips. Will be interested to see if the Eagles can finish strong. Lack of depth is still an issue and hopefully 2 weeks rest will help. We limped over the finish line in 2014 and it looks similar in 2015, especially against Troy, USA, and even GaSt who are playing good football right now. Our defense has been vulnerable to the long ball. I think the conference needs a strong Troy so it's good to see Brown putting it together.

We have some serious circling of the wagons going on right now. Proud of the team and coaches.

If Troy gets back to its former self, imagine what the Sun Belt East Division will look like once we move to divisions? App, Georgia Southern, and Troy all in the same division? Could get nasty.

Throw in Coastal Carolina and South Alabama in there and tough, tough!!!

Its what the conference needs. Divisions help with scheduling and establishing rivals. One division will be stronger initially which will cause the teams in the other to catch up thus improving the conference as a whole.

Wanted to say thanks for all the great suggestions. Enjoyed Half Shell, Julia's, and SF Cattle Co. and strolling downtown. Great gameday operations staff helping with parking and shuttles. Frustrated for Trojan fans with the lack of support on Senior Day and an important game. SOS outstanding. I have to say our team played it's most complete game of the year. The defense was aggressive and made good tackles to limit YAC. The offense didn't produce the big plays, but held on to the ball for a ridiculous 43 minutes which is the stat that tells the story of the game. Targeting call was complete BS. Just a good football hit like a thousand I've seen before. Need to modify that rule because it seems like the penalty is "hitting too hard".
I still think your team is on the rise and the eastern half of the conference will be between App, GS, and Troy in most years. Fatty Arbuckle is a senior and GaSt will get back to losing miserably. USA and GaSt are the beneficiaries of the UAB debacle in 2015 and I don't think Coastal will be able to recruit any better than they do which involves 23 Jucos and transfers on the current roster.
Glad to welcome you guys to The Boro next year and look forward to visiting again in '17.

Yep, the spearing calls have haunted us several times in the past as well. Trojans look forward to competing better next year in S'boro!! See you there!! BTW. Kick the 'Dawgs butt next week!! Rooting for our conference partners!! >>> (Sunbelt much stronger with Eagles and App than formers partners!!)

Just got back home from Troy. It might not have looked it during the game to the Troy faithful but Troy is a much better team than they played today. Troy just ran into a perfect storm this afternoon. I expect to see some wars between the Eagles and Trojan in the years to come.

Changing the subject a little bit, GSU fans could teach us Troy fans a thing or two about being loud and proud. You guys showed up with a great group and let your team know you were there. Most of us Troy fans act like we are in the library instead of a football game. Good luck with Georgia. If ya'll play your game, they will have their hands full!
