For a team that is 6-3 on the year, the Ole Miss Rebels sure do have a lot of world-class talent on both side of the football. The defense sports the nation’s No. 1 recruit last year in Robert Nkemdiche and his smaller but still playmaking older brother Denzel. The offense has Bo Wallace, who ranks 23 rd in the nation in passing yards per game, and can run the ball. It also features two speedster running backs in Jeff Scott and Jaylen Walton, who run behind an offensive line that has freshman Laremy Tunsil – one of the nation’s most highly recruited offensive linemen last year. While both Nkemdiches and Scott have been banged up for portions of the season this year, they all could be back and available to face the Troy Trojans Saturday at 11 a.m. at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Trojan coaches know who the stars are and who must be accounted for on every play. “ They look pretty good on film,” Trojans offensive coordinator Kenny Edenfield said. “The linebacker (Denzel) is a really good player. Of course, (Robert) is everything they’ve said. They move him around – plays defensive end, plays defensive tackle, plays a little stand up on the edge.” While Robert’s stats are not eye-popping, he has been limited with injuries and even missed two full games. Still, the Trojans have a game plan to neutralize the freshman from Loganville, Ga. “ We’ll have a play for if he’s disrupting us, we can help with the running back,” Edenfield said. “We always have that plan. We’ve rarely had to use it.” That may be a testament to a Troy offensive line that grew up quickly this year ( Full Article). ttimesmall
