I tried to get tickets to the Packers game but couldn't. Do you have a friend that helped you? How did you get tickets

Not so FAST: Fly into Milwaukee LATE Thursday night, wake up with lifelong service (USAF) brother of 40 years, drive to Chicago for Day Game at Wrigley, vs. St Louis, drive to Madison after the game, meet up with second service brother, hang out in Mad Town (their description, not mine) on Friday, wake up, check out the campus, tailgate, cheer, really nice dinner with some OUTSTANDING GENTLEMEN, tell stories, embellish much both vocally and spiritually, sleep, wake up and drive to Green Bay, enjoy Packers, ..., just sayin ya got some options!!!!

Visiting Madison: Update: The Union terrace has been torn up for renovations. The Rathskeller and the rest of the Union are still open, however. I stayed at the new Union South, which is closer to Camp Randall, this summer. Nice place, but as an old alum, I love the Memorial Union far more. The UW Band will play a pre-game concert at the Union South before the game. They will do a rendition of the Troy fight song. (They also play the opposition's fight song on the field before the game.) There are some minor traffic delays around Madison. They get their noses all out of joint due to a little street work. I drive around NYC, so their major delays amount to very little in my eyes. buckyville.yuku.com/topic/81728/PSA-for-Saturdays-GameLater in the week I'll post a couple of more links that might be interesting. I'm not certain why the Scout board link I posted didn't work. The URL was correct. I embedded it above. Hopefully, that works better. The link is to the first pinned post on the Badger Nation (Scout) tailgating board. If the revised link doesn't work, navigating there shouldn't be too difficult.

I just tested my revised link. It worked for me. Hey Big Apple, coming from Chicago on Friday, will be staying at the Sheraton Madison, any suggestions on how to drive into MadTown.

Hey Big Apple, coming from Chicago on Friday, will be staying at the Sheraton Madison, any suggestions on how to drive into MadTown. The Sheridan, IIRC, is located on the South side on John Nolan Drive. Take the interstate to the exit for Highways 12-18. Take those West until the Nolan Drive exit. The Sheridan is just a bit North of that exit. (12-18 is called the beltline highway around Madison.) I understand there is some road work going on along the beltline. The area mentioned occurs West of your exit, so you should be OK. But if someone living in Madison comments, trust them more than me. IMO, you'd be foolish to avoid the toll road in Illinois. Just watch your speed. I've been told there are traps.

Check and see if your provider has the BTN... the game will be televised. B1G will also stream the game, provided you have an account through a cable or satellite provider the offers the network. Last, but surely not the least of all things Trojan, The Voice of the Trojans. About 5 hr until kickoff...Go Trojans! #CryHavoc #RTW
