ARKANSAS STATE: The Red Wolves managed to win their second straight contest with an dominating 42-14 road victory over ULM. Pacing the winning effort was Michael Gordon, who tallied 131 total yards (72 rushing, 59 receiving) while scoring a career-high four touchdowns. Adam Kennedy also had a strong game. He completed 16-of-23 passes for 235 yards and a touchdown, and the signal caller was also the team's leading rusher with 102 yards and two scores. At receiver, both Julian Jones (four receptions, 79 yards) and J.D. McKissic (seven receptions, 75 yards) acted as quality targets for Kennedy in the passing game. The defense held ULM to just 328 total yards, with Qushaun Lee leading the way with seven tackles. Arkansas State (5-4, 3-1 Sun Belt) returns home this Saturday to take on Texas State.
GEORGIA STATE: The Panthers (0-9, 0-4 Sun Belt) had an off week to try and recuperate from a nine-game losing streak to start the season. They'll return to action this Saturday at home versus first-place Louisiana.
LOUISIANA: The Ragin' Cajuns continued their reign atop the Sun Belt Conference last Thursday night with a 41-36 triumph at home over Troy for their seventh straight victory. Terrance Broadway had a relatively quiet day passing, completing 8-of-13 attempts for 185 yards with an interception, but he also tossed a pair of touchdown passes. Broadway was a difference-maker with his legs as well, rushing for 63 yards and two more scores. While Alonzo Harries (21 carries, 64 yards) had trouble getting on track in the run game, Elijah McGuire showed much more explosion with 82 yards and a touchdown on just seven totes, and he was also on the receiving end of a 60-yard scoring strike from Broadway. Justin Anderson paced the defensive effort with 10 tackles. Louisiana (7-2, 4-0 Sun Belt) hits the road this Saturday to take on winless Georgia State.
TEXAS STATE: The Bobcats (6-3, 2-2 Sun Belt) enjoyed a bye week after becoming bowl eligible following three straight victories. They will sojourn in Jonesboro this weekend as they take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves.
SOUTH ALABAMA: The Jaguars (3-5, 1-3 Sun Belt) were idle over the weekend, using the time off to recover from back-to-back losses. They have a non- conference road test on tap for this Saturday at Navy.
TROY: The Trojans lost their second straight game last Thursday night, falling on the wrong side of a 41-36 shootout at first-place Louisiana. Corey Robinson, who has completed better than 67 percent of his passes this season, was just 25-of-44 for 271 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Chunn scored a rushing touchdown, but he tallied only 42 yards on 17 carries. Meanwhile, Brandon Burks racked up 126 yards on two fewer carries than Chunn. Eric Thomas hauled in five balls for 93 yards and a touchdown, giving him at least one TD in eight of 10 games this season. Despite outgaining Louisiana, 469-378, the Trojans offense stalled several times and had to settle for four field goal attempts from Will Scott, who went 3-of-4. Troy (5-5, 3-3 Sun Belt) will step out of conference this Saturday for a road test against Ole Miss.

Kolton Browning had a lackluster performance under center, completing just 17-of-37 passes for 191 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, although he did rush for a team-high 55 yards. One of the few bright spots in the game was the play of Rashon Ceaser, who caught five balls for a career-high 118 yards, and he was on the receiving end of both of Browning's scoring strikes. ULM (5-5, 3-2 Sun Belt) allowed Arkansas State to amass 494 total yards, while losing the time of possession battle by more than 10 minutes. The loss came on the heels of a season-long three-game win streak, and the team will try to get back on track on Nov. 23 when it plays South Alabama on the road.
WESTERN KENTUCKY: Down by four points in the final minute against Army, the Hilltoppers' star running back Antonio Andrews plunged into the end zone from two yards out to secure a 21-17 victory.
