Troy missed an at-large bid along with all the other mid major teams with a final RPI of #61. Only 4 mid-major teams received at large bids, one from Sunbelt, Conference USA, Colonial, and Mountain West. The remaining at large bids were:
SEC - 10 at large PAC12 - 6 at large BIG12 - 3 at large ACC - 6 at large BIG10 - 3 at large
The last three teams in were #43 VA Tech, #45 Louisville, and #50 Pittsburgh. (All ACC teams)
The first two teams out were #42 Georgia State and #49 UAB.
The ACC was highly favored in the bracket as they granted a #16 seed to Notre Dame that finished 3rd in the ACC standings and had an RPI of 19. The top 16 RPI generally host, but they skipped Hofstra at #13 and UCF at #15 in favor of #17 Georgia and #19 Notre Dame. Once again both mid-majors. I am sure they will use "travel budgets" as the excuse.

A huge improvement over the previous season. I do believe Beth and her staff were the right hire. Anyone that watched this team and last years team can clearly see the difference. I expect big things from them in the near future.
