NCAAF Team Report - Troy - NOTES, QUOTES
--Western Kentucky head coach Bobby Petrino made his first appearance at the Georgia Dome since abruptly resigning 13 games into his only season as Atlanta Falcons coach six years ago. WKU beat Georgia State 44-28 in front of fewer than 6,000 fans. There were more than 65,000 the last time Petrino coached in the Georgia Dome.
--Troy offensive lineman Dalton Bennett got ejected from the game against ULM after two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on one play gave Troy a 2nd and 40. Troy scored on a 55-yard touchdown pass from Corey Robinson to Bryan Holmes on the next play. Bennett was caught giving a grin to the cameras as he walked off the field and it made ESPN's SportsCenter.
--Troy ditched the cardinal and white for all black in its loss to ULM, which came on Halloween night to UL-Monroe and was televised by ESPNU. The black jerseys, pants and helmets had some silver, but no hint of Troy's main color of cardinal. "They were exciting, but like Terrence (Jones) said, 'They don't play. We play,'" Trojans running back Jordan Chunn told the Dothan Eagle.
--ULM's Ajalen Holley recorded his third and fourth career touchdown receptions againast Troy. Holley's 60-yard touchdown reception from Kolton Browning marked the second consecutive game that he recorded a touchdown reception. The 60-yard reception was the longest of his career. His previous long was 29.
--UL-Lafayette running back Alonzo Harris became the second player in school history to score five touchdowns rushing in a game. Harris now has 31 career touchdowns which gives him sole possession of third all-time at Louisiana behind Tyrell Fenroy (49) and Brian Mitchell (47).
QUOTE TO NOTE: "The difference is that No. 15 there, brother. That guy is a magician with their offense. He just makes so many things happen. There were four or five plays that he made that I don't know if there is another quarterback in the league (that) can." -- Troy head coach Larry Blakeney on ULM quarterback Kolton Browning.
