You have to wonder If Troy is going to reach out and get a former Player & 7th round draft pick Davern Williams for this position. Seems I read somewhere the DL he coached this year did not give up a rushing TD until it allowed a 24 yd drive on NOv. 1st (note that was only the second first half TD allowed all season by that D) at EMCC. The DL at JSU was also productive while he was there. HHMMMMMMMM.

Jordan Lesley seems like the logical choice from EMCC. He played for the Trojans while Vic was here in 03/04. In addition, he has been a very productive in the JUCO ranks coaching D-Line at Northwest CC, linebackers at Kilgore and the DC at EMCC. He also was a grad assistant here at Troy. If I was a betting man (and I am) I would think he has a shot on this staff if he wants it....Only time will tell.

There wont likely be any new coaching hires in the immediate future. They are focusing on recruiting right now.

Both Koenning and Sumrall have good resumes as DL/LB coaches. Wouldn't surprise me if either one takes over one of those positions.

Jmo but as bad as our defense has been I would love to see our DC not coaching a position but overseeing the entire D. That way he can watch different areas at practice and not be coaching a set position.

Like I said jmo, but to me it makes sense to have your DC free to oversee everything. Even in a scrimmage they have to pay attention to the position they are coaching along with the entire Defense. Thought the same thing with KE at OC. I know it's not economically very feasible but the rewards outweigh the negatives to me.
