The tweet from Troy coach Larry Blakeney came Monday morning, shortly before UL coach Mark Hudspeth and a couple Ragin’ Cajuns players addressed media members in Lafayette. Tweeted Blakeney, whose Cajuns play UL Monroe in a ESPNU-televised Sun Belt Conference game on Thursday night: “The 6th Sun Belt Championship runs through Troy, AL this Thurs. ALL Trojans need to be there and be LOUD! YOU must make an impact! #GoTroy”Not everyone in Lafayette liked it.“We feel like that’s kind of disrespecting us a little bit,” Cajuns offensive tackle Mykhael Quave said. “So every game we’re going to out to prove that ‘We are UL,’ and we want the conference championship. Blakeney's Cajuns ..... The Cajuns could only hope for a coach as respected and accomplished as Blakeney. Well at the Harvard of the south, any challenge to their reality really sets them into a 'roid rage. Things like the truth that if Troy wins out we will be Sunbelt Champions. I wonder if 2+2= 4 in Cajun country? Of course that may be higher math for the folks at LaLa. I wonder what the color of the sky is in their world?
