If your show was in print, I would serve fried Seabass on it with some chips like at McGuire’s. I’m just kidding, I love yall.
BUT…. I can totally love Jon Sumrall and want to see Goose in the game. Gunnar was just off on Saturday. <- from a fan’s perspective anyway.
From what I heard from a source, is that HCJS took everyone, including coaches, to the “woodshed.” <- The term I heard.
My source also told me that HCJS said very clearly: “We don’t lose again this year.” Now, we all know that “any given Saturday “ can happen, but if you had to choose between two coaches where one said aww shucks and the other said we don’t lose, I think we would agree on which coach should be in charge of our beloved Trojans.
Oh by the way, as much as this board hates losing, HCJS hates it more. It’s his life work for Troy to win.

TBB, I have zero problems with your post and the notion that we struggle on offense. Not one. Make this post right here all day long. I'm good to go. What I do call into serious question is the idea that any one of us out here in keyboard land have any good clue as to the reasons WHY. The OC is an easy target. He's the one to get them ready and designing the offensive game plan. But I have to also imagine that HCJS not only has these stats - he's got more stats, additional data, and absolute knowledge of all the strengths and weaknesses of the offense. And with that knowledge, the amount dwarfing what any of us have all put together, he has made a decision. He also knows the strengths and weaknesses of Gunner Watson, Goose Crowder, and Kilcrease, and all the rest. And with that he makes his decision. I trust his decision. I trust it because the stats say I should: 12W-2L. Those same offensive stats you gave resulted in....12W-2L. I don't give a durn how we win. So long as we find a way to win. All due respect, I do not trust TBB or Saint to make the decisions because winning in football is hard enough for those whose every motivation it is to succeed at it. It's even harder for you two who comparatively speaking don't know jack squat about it. It's not a new phenomena. All 12 wins and 2 losses, the rest of us heard nearly more about how bad the OC is and how wrong the quarterback was than we did about winning 12. It just does no good. But I know we're guys and we just want to find something to crow about. So do so about something like "the offense is weak". Even the coaches will say that, as they did. Don't be goofily arrogant enough to run some guy down who you don't know and in a world of circumstances you know nothing about. Or at least be fair about it and tell us what and where y'all do for a living and let us come pick the bones dry and stand outside your office door and tear a stripe off of you for the failures and weaknesses that you have while we drool rotel dip down our shirts. I guarantee one thing...it wouldn't motivate you to do better. It'd probably make you susceptible to do worse and give you something a good counselor would need lots of sessions to help you with. Enough opponents will pile on them on Saturday. Be helpful for your Trojans. Ocean, you sucking down too much seawater. Who is going to any coach’s office door and tearing a stripe off them ? My clients, you know the paying customers have no problem telling me if my people are not doing what they need to be doing or if there is a problem. I encourage it, it makes us better. Who are Troy football paying customers? Plus, this is a message board, where fans talk about stuff. Was going to respond but you nailed it.

Move the cross country meet to a midnight run. Get glow sticks and spooky music. Make it Halloween in September.

We struggle on offense. Here are some stats.
Average 25 points a game. Average 365 yards per game. Only broken 500 yards twice, each against fcs. 35% on third down 66% on fourth down Average 5 penalties per game Average 48 yards in penalties per game.
Most yards ever 540 against SFA Most yards against FBS 421 vs Marshall Most points ever 45 vs Coastal Fewest yards ever 153 vs UTSA Fewest points ever 10 (3 way tie) vs Ole Miss, South Gump, Army.
Based on the stats, we are disciplined with only 5 penalties. Our biggest issue is 35% on third down. This probably correlates to the 25 points per game average.
Maybe it’s not our OC and maybe it’s former regime players. I don’t know and that’s why I’m not a coach. I do know we struggle on offense.

Nothing like a loss, to bring out the never called a play, keyboard coaches. I don’t have to call a play. I’m the customer. I got tens of followers on yelp. I’ll bring down the thunder.

If the same offense of the first two weeks shows up, I think it will be a very difficult game. We only had two possessions of more than 3 minutes vs KSU who had 5 of over 3 minutes. In the Second half we didn’t have any drivers over two and a half minutes. It makes it very difficult for our defense to make it late into a game. We weren’t out of the game until close to halfway through the 4th when the defense wore down. So if the offense can make the changes they need to, whether in play or personnel, we should have firm control of the game. If not then it will probably a heartbreaker for us. You don’t trust in Craddock?

LOL... Troy's not whooping JMU. It will be a close game, and they're offense is very versatile. They just completed a big comeback win against Virginia. Someone isn’t drinking their

"I don't really care about the opponent. I'm sick because we didn't play to our standard." - HCJS This is the definition of Troy football. The words have changed over the years, but the core is the same. We are in good hands. "Anybody, Anywhere, Anytime" - Larry Blakeney "It's never ok to lose." - Neal Brown So you mean “well that’s a power 5 team with power 5 guys so we shouldn’t expect to win” is not acceptable? I agree 100%. Troy football is in gear hands. Power-five is just a made up word. If I am going to lose because of a word, my word is P**nt*ng.

I believe we are 1-1 with JMU. I think this is a tougher opponent than last week. I think we are pissed off. I think JMU has huge momentum.

A guy I know has access to HCJS. He said he spoke with coach this morning and got the impression that we don't lose again this season. I'm still all in!

Speaking of Neal Brown. Let's say he gets fired tonight for loosing to some school called Dooky. We bring him in as OC and we let Craddock do something else.

This game is going to shock you. . I’m not shocked. This aint our worst loss. Try busing home from Montana after they lay 70 on you. That’s a shock.

It was underhanded, but everything in that post was factual. I believe in HCJS, but Neal was a badass. You guys kill me. One game. One football game. Neal's first season...4-8. With losses to far less than P5 schools. Second season...10-3, losing to who? Ak St. and Ga Southern in addition to Clemson. There's not enough data to support your conclusion. His post was not factual. Little he says is. Neal’s resume at Troy is fantastic. I don’t want to get into a comparison between two awesome coaches. Neal was a badass and Jon is a badass. I think you and I are all in for Sumrall, but I love me some Neal Brown.

K-State guy here. Several poor calls that went in favor of Kansas State, no doubt. I know you guys didn’t play anywhere near what you’re capable of -especially the running game. OTOH, I was very pleased with how our front 7 did. Containing Vidal is obviously an extremely tall task. Likewise, I was impressed with your guys’ defense. Very good pass rush and pretty sharp coverage. A very frustrating day for our OL - but I can’t discount your all’s level of play up front. I think you guys will win a lot of ballgames this year. Win out and go play in a NY6, boys. Thanks man. And remember, schedule us as often as you like. We'll show up.

Say what you want about Neal but we showed up against P5 teams. One bad call away from upsetting Clemson in 2016, Beat LSU in 2017 and Nebraska in 2018. So you're gonna hate on Jon Sumrall. Man, you need to go crawl in a hole somewhere. You're pathetic, Troystet. Pathetic. It was underhanded, but everything in that post was factual. I believe in HCJS, but Neal was a badass.

Barry had some good information concerning the no call on the hands to the face to Solomon. Barry reports that the refs told coach he saw the play but "it wasn't intentional." So when K State just scored on their last possession Barry mentioned a hold on K State then quipped he didn't mean to. Lol. At least I can laugh about this game. Sounds like "mostly peaceful"
