This is a huge issue for the Jones family. As many of you know, I have a home game streak of 21 years right now. My daughter (senior year) has a cross country meet that morning an hour away from Troy.
Pray for rain???
I will be reaching out to Brent Jones ASAP and reminding him to check with me before these kind of things happen again.

This is a question for those memories. When was the last time we played at home at 11am? I remember we played on Sportsouth at 11 1999 or 2000. Anyway they will let us sleep in the Vet?

Move the cross country meet to a midnight run. Get glow sticks and spooky music. Make it Halloween in September.

Well ain’t that a kick. Early AM game does allow for watching a lot of games after it but does screw up eating times a bit. Good thing I have excess blubber to live off for that approx 3 hour fast!

I just don't get this consternation over an 11:00 a.m. kick other than the "ah shoots" of the people who have direct scheduling conflicts (been there, totally understand). On one thread on this board, we have people arguing over who loves Troy more and all over social media we have fans boo hooing because the big bad ESPN schedulers hurt their feelings. Football is the schools front porch. A lot more company is coming over when the game is on ESPNU than +. This is a good thing. Wake up early, throw a cornflake in your beer, and get into the Vet.

When is the last time Troy had back-to-back-to-back televised games? It's cool that 2 are home contests.

11am kickoff? Hmm, bacon, grits, whatever you call it when you mix orange juice with champagne. 11 am isn’t so bad. You can find an open restaurant afterwards.

My only experience was last year when we had group from church come up the the MSU game and one of the adults had a daughter in a meet that morning. He was in Troy by around 12:30 (just over an hour drive). Based on this, call up all your buddies to find one with a helicopter and get him to chopper you to the game. A 20 minute flight, Kick time around 11:05, you might actually make it into the stadium by the end of the first quarter, If not the first series. Let me know how this works out for you. As always, I'm here to help with all kind of suggestions.

It's Trojan Day and Band Day as well. Band Day will be a bit lacking with the early kickoff, so that kills recruitment for SOTS (not that most of this board cares about that) and the Admissions Office got buggered by it for tours and stuff.
But as said above, at least we can find a restaurant to eat at for my band kids
