I want whatever y'all are on... The helmet doesn't match anything. NOT a good combo.
But I don't care what we wear as along as we get the W!

Always enjoy cardinal-cardinal-white. HOWEVER, the new "alternate" jersey stinks.

If I am not mistaken, we use the ESPN feed on the scoreboards.

Looks like WKU is going to wear white tops, per their Twitter or whatever it's called these days... And we haven't worn cardinal jerseys at home this year... So new cardinal tops???

All right I’ll bite... These have potential to be the best all season, but the little things just mess it up.
The silver/white combo just washes each other out on the helmet and jersey. Just use the regular, cardinal outlined Power T like we’ve got on the 50 yard line. And outline the numbers in cardinal to match the jersey. Love the pants!
Just got to have some cardinal in there to balance everything out! It’s so close to looking great!

Last I heard, after the "fire" Crowe's opened up towards downtown near the Piggly Wiggly on 3 Notch. Did they close that store down?

Power T for national tv. That’s how it should be. Couldn't agree more! This is currently the best helmet we've got right now. Still would love a true matching silver jersey/pant combo to go with it! I wish get away from the uni-color Power T's and use the "full" color ones like this week. The black helmets would look so much better with the white/silver Power T with the red outline!

I'm not a fan of the script logo either... Looks like the font on a T-ball jersey IMO, but I think it does look all right on a football helmet. Just doesn't scream TROY to me. Plus it doesn't match the font on the jerseys (which I am also not crazy for either).
I'd love to see us find a font that we "claim" as our own, that looks somewhat unique. Not just bold/italicized Arial font.

I am digging the new silver domes! I would love a matching silver jersey/pants combo that matches. Something similar to some of the basketball uni’s in the past. I think it’d be cool to have road “greys”/silver uni’s as the norm to help us stand out a little!
After all are colors are cardinal and silver, so why not lean into it?

I like the idea of changing uniform combos up, but I feel like it makes it harder to have a consistent/recognizable brand. I love the chrome helmets, and think they look great especially with the road white jerseys.
But one thing that has always irked me is the complete inconsistency in the silver/greys used for other sports. Looking at you "lead" softball unis!

We need to add Jackson State. They have a big fan base, 60,000 stadium seating. 2 weeks ago at their homecoming, over 54,000 attended. Currently, they ranked 16 in FBS. If they made the jump, would they be the first/only HBCU in the FBS? But I also think you have to factor in the effect Coach Prime is having on their program. I would assume he'd take a better job at a P5 if the opportunity arose, but if they did indeed jump to FBS that might would change things. Plus it would give USM a travel partner for the other sports, but I am not sure how completive they are outside of football. Interesting though exercise for sure.

You can't really drop men's tennis for soccer, need to a sport with similar scholarship numbers to stay in compliance with Title IX.

Coming out in a couple more days. These shirts look good, and I wonder if there will be any more designs. I am loving that we are starting to embrace the retro TSU stuff, but I must say I hate our script Troy/Trojan logos. Looks too much like a design on a t-ball jersey to me.
Nevertheless, I will definitely be buying some of these shirts.

Will this be the biggest win in the (The HC we don’t speak of) era? Or is the upset over EKU still the biggest?

I watched the presser right up until the new coach was introduced (had to watch jeeps in the mud with the future Troy All American). AD Jones did give out one of his first thank you's to nephew son in law whatshisname. I missed that when I started watching the presser. With all of the drama that had gone on, it makes me think that (if the rumors are true), there might be a long-term power play, and dear leader's nephew son in law whatshisname will be the next head coach. Assuming that he does indeed stay on the staff and is elevated to an actual coaching position.

I like this hire too, pretty impressive resume for a guy who has not been a HC. But I will be interested to see if anyone from the previous staff is retained... Would definitely shed some light on the Twitter drama going down a couple weeks ago.

I definitely do not disagree with your OP. (The HC we don’t speak of) definitely has to win a lot of games in order to get off the hot seat in the eyes of Troy fans and the administration, if he does plan on staying past his initial contract term, which might be a first in his career. I think we'll just have to wait and see what next year's coaching carousel look's like. If we have a 9+ win season, he very well could draw some comparisons to what Chadwell did at CC this year (in terms of few wins in their first couple years, and "turning it around" and winning a lot the next). Obviously a stretch, especially considering how well CC has done this year, and how much national media attention that their program has gotten. But I think it will be possible (The HC we don’t speak of)'s name would get mentioned for some vacancies, depending on how well we do next season. More than likely at a G5 school who's coach had left for a different gig, definitely do not think he would be in the realm of consideration for an SEC job, but maybe somebody in the American would hire him. So maybe it will be up to other schools looking to fill HC vacancies to determine how many wins is enough. But again, that is all predicated on (The HC we don’t speak of) actually winning ballgames next year. Yes, everything is centered on how many wins he gets next year. Ummm, yea an SEC job for CL in 2022 has the same chance as Troy winning back to back national football championships. I think the only coaching job CL could possibly get in 2022 is DII or high school. Given that, CL is riding or dying with Troy University. If he wins 10 games next year, would you keep him ? If we won 10 games, I would say it would be hard not to keep him, much as that pains me to say. It would be tough to answer questions of why you fired your HC after a 10-win season, especially that season included the SBC championship game and a bowl win. I would also assume there is some sort of automatic extension based upon a conference championship, so if that were to happen then we might not have a choice. I think 9 wins would be a little murky, but I agree back to your OP and would say 8 wins would probably be the line in the sand. But you know what they say... Winning solves a lot of problems.

I think either way (The HC we don’t speak of) is gone after next season. We either have a similar year to the last two and do not win very many games, and (The HC we don’t speak of) does not get an extension and is let go. Or somehow we have a "good" season (maybe 7+ wins, maybe make a bowl game), and he takes the first HC job that is sent his way. We can't forget, that (The HC we don’t speak of)'s track record is to never stay in one place too long. Interesting. Say he gets 8 wins and into a bowl, who is going to offer him a HC job ? Just donât think that is a viable options. Still believe the path I laid out in OP are the option. The only question is that 9 and 10 win scenario (maybe 8) I definitely do not disagree with your OP. (The HC we don’t speak of) definitely has to win a lot of games in order to get off the hot seat in the eyes of Troy fans and the administration, if he does plan on staying past his initial contract term, which might be a first in his career. I heard that they were going to build the new rec center in the Sartain parking lot and keep Sartain standing for at least a semester before tearing it down. Can anyone confirm this, or is this just rumors?

That reminds me. Does anyone know why we went for two after the second TD? No complaints as it worked, just a little unusual. CNB SHOWS MERCY TO NO ONE.
Kinda like when we scored 3 TDs and a FG at the end of the 1st half against TXST.

The black helmets they wore two years ago had a red/silver T on them.
