Bobby Petrino
“We’re looking forward to the game on Saturday. It’s our homecoming, it’ll be great for our crowd and our fans, the players that played here before, the players that we’re honoring into the Hall of Fame. It’ll be a fun week.
“Its seams like a long time ago that we played that game last Tuesday. We’ve kind of put that to bed and worked extremely hard in the couple days last week that we practiced and lifted weights and ran.
“Came back (Sunday) night and had a good practice. I’m excited about our players’ focus and energy. I think we’ll respond well to a tough loss.
“Tough game. Troy’s a very, very good football team. When you watch ‘em on video their defensive scheme is sound. They don’t make many mistakes. They make you earn everything and they’ve got good players.
“And then offensively we all know how explosive the are and they play two quarterbacks that are both very good. They’ve got some speed at the receiver positions, and they’ve been able to run the ball more this year and better this year, so that adds another thing to defend.
“Should be a good football game. Looking forward to it.”
Inconsistency: “You look at everything you do, what you do in practice, what you do here, but what’s hurting us and what’s caused the inconsistency is the turnovers. We’ve got to take care of the ball. It’s a major priority. We’re not gonna be able to win games if you turn it over like we have. We’ve done it in all kinds of fashions, it’s not just been one thing.
“We’ve thrown balls up in the air and got intercepted, we’ve hit the receiver right in the hands and got it taken away, we’ve popped off helmets – so there’s been a lot of different things that go into it. (Full Article)
