Is this the official message board for Troy fans now? I know I've seen some activity on TroyReport.com and GoTroyTrojans.com, but I'm not interested in paying for a message board like GTT if folks from other schools can't/won't post with us because of the $$$.
I would like to see TroyReport.com get some activity going again. I've asked Rivals.com about that website and if there is some way it can be updated on a normal basis like it was 5 years ago. They responded by saying if the website starts to get more hits and people use the message board a little more, then they will hire a beat writer to cover news and in-depth recruiting for us... and also keep the list of basketball/football commitments updated along with their proper "Rivals Rating."

That sounds very interesting. Rivals would do all that for free ?

In hopes that you would subscribe, yes.
It's free to post on their message board. I think it's $8 a month to gain access to read all of the player/coaches interviews, recruiting news, videos, etc.

DT84 reckons so although I miss the good ole days before folks had to go off changing everything.

I wouldn't expect a lot from the Rivals site. I've spoken in the past with them and they want a dedicated writer and someone to do the ground work for them. If I were going to become involved and promote a recruiting site and pay message board I would go with 247 sports. However, the amount of subscribers wouldn't be a large number in my opinion until the content was worthy of paying.

FYI: I have had conversations with both Rivals and 247 Sports. All things considered, I decided to keep this format.
