In all seriousness y’all think we will be playing on opening weekend of bowl week (cure bowl, New Orleans bowl both December 16) we just scheduled our daughters 1st birthday for the following weekend. Wife is going to divorce me if we play the second weekend. Well. You have three options. Convince your daughter she was born a week earlier or later. There's life after divorce, Been through two and I DON"T recommend it. Pray for another Bowl Game date.

Wife is going to divorce me if we play the second weekend. I have NO inside information, but I have a feeling that Troy will be playing in a bowl game that is scheduled for December twenty-something ... just a gut feeling and mine is kind of big IF I am reading your post correctly, then December 22nd (FL - Gasparilla Bowl) and 23rd (AL - Birmingham Bowl) are NOT good for YOU

Are y’all taking into consideration the bowl game tie ins the sunbelt have? Or just hoping and praying for matchup results. I figured we would end up in the cure bowl being it usually goes to Sunbelt CC. New Orleans bowl gets 2nd pick.
What odds are better us playing in cure/New Orleans on the 16th or a later date bowl game? Invitations haven’t been sent out and my wife is about ready to beat me cause it’s getting closer to our daughters Bday( the 22nd ).

ALSO, wife is probably going to be done with you before bowl announcements and invitations are extended on December 3rd 😳 All of that to say, depending on where you live, you have a 20% - 40% chance of missing our bowl game. I TOTALLY understand, our Family has birthdays 23rd and 26th 👍🏼

I FEEL your pain‼️‼️ We traveled over 7,000 miles cheering the Trojans last year during football season, THEN MISSED Cure Bowl because I had to give a final in Birmingham three hours before kickoff. I like you, promised myself not going to miss another bowl game and have insured that for this year. FIRST BIRTHDAY…THAT is your top priority, send the birthday invitations out and pray for the best 👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏽

I kind of miss the old Bevis and butthead sort of stuff Ho use to post about Dear Leader choosing or going where asked for a bowl game. In this thread I have read gut instinct and other opinions. In just a few days we will know. My guess is still that we play Liberty or someone else….how is that for prognostication!

I hope I'm wrong and we will soon see. We have to win the next two first and foremost and let the chips fall

Will only get worse for them when Texas and Oklahoma start playing next year - which is better for Troy Normal.

ESPN calls the shots. Their goal is the best TV matchup. As stated earlier, if we are 12-1 and possibly ranked again, we will spin out of the SBC tie-in bowls
Favorite bowl matchup outside of ours. If Johnny Williams can land 🚫 vs Jax State, that would be great. Even better if y’all will throw some cash to the collective and I’ll make sure we get plenty of ad time

Hail Mary in 2022 and missed FG in 2023. Let's win out and see where the roulette wheel lands

This season's loss to JMU was NOT about a missed FG. It's true that had the FG been made, and all else had remained the same, we would have won that game by 1. We cannot, however, put that loss on a kicker who missed a FG. That loss was a team loss: a team that had a very young and inexperienced line, a team that had not yet found its offensive identity, a team that was in a knock down drag out against a very good opponent. To blame this loss, and all that is tied up in being 9-2 vs 10-1 (rankings, bowl selection etc) on a missed FG is not only an overly simplistic view but is also unfair to a young man who has been solid all season long and has made multiple kicks to help cement games away. Bottom line, if we, as a team, had played better that night, we would have won the game.

There were plenty of mistakes that game

I have posted about the missed field goal and grounding call that "cost" us the game which implies those two plays did in fact cost us the game ...... BUT you are correct in that there are many many more plays that could have changed the outcome of the game I did not mean to put the loss on our fantastic kicker nor Gunnar

I TRY to not single out one play that makes a difference, win or lose. The exception: if a player makes a stupid decision and gets a personal foul penalty ( not offsides, or false start etc) that extends a drive that results in a score that is the margin of victory, especially if it occurs late, I’m calling him out. We forget sometimes that as hard as our guys are trying to win, the other 22 are as well and that impacts play. The game isn’t played in a vacuum,

ESPN saying B’ham against Liberty. Also saying Appy in Liberty against WVU. Man, I’d rather see us play in Memphis, but we probably put more butts in seats in B’ham.
