It might not be a Trojan Wall article, but I thought y'all might enjoy this Kimani research.
We are witnessing history with Kimani Vidal.
He started the year at #10 all time with 2,349 yards.
Through six games, he has rushed for 835 yards, putting him at 3,184.
At his current rate, he could be the career rushing leader in two games.
He is only 257 yards behind one of Troy's greatest backs ever, DeWhitt Betterson.
The list of players Kimani Vidal has passed on his pursuit of history reads like a Who's Who of Troy:
Jordan Chunn, Ted Horstead, Shawn Southward, DuJuan Harris, Mike Turk, Joe Jackson, Arrid Gregory, Eddie Coleman, Tony Jackson, Brandon Burks, BJ Smith, Kenny Cattouse, Sullivan Walker, Ron Daniels, DK Billingsley, LeBarron Black, Phillip Jones, Demontray Carter
We're getting into math, so mistakes will happen. Just help me correct them.
Kimani is averaging 139 ypc through 6 games. If he does that over the next 6 games, he will finish with 1,669 yards.
That would give him #1 with 4,018 yards, making him the only 4,000 yard rusher.
Kimani trails only DeWhitt Betterson in multiple 100 yards games.
DeWhitt has 13 100 yards games and Kimani has 10. This mark should fall to him as well this season.

Coach Sumrall has said it multiple times, but Kimani is a better person than he is a player. He’s a great representative for Troy and I’m glad to know him.

I saw something today from Kimani that, at least to my eyes, has been missing this year and that is break away speed. There have ben several plays where Kimani breaks a big run but gets tackled from behind as it appears he runs out of gas. NOT TODAY! When he broke that long run up the middle for the TD today, nobody was going to catch him. It was good to see him run away from the defense. I will say he's fortunate he didn't get hurt on that play as the defender chasing him horse collared him 5 yards into the end zone.

So he went to a big high school in GA. Was the Mvp of the largest classification championship game. We absolutely stole him from from everyone. He will leave Troy as the best RB ever. Boy what a statement that is.

Kimani deserves all the accolades he gets. He finds the smallest hole and bursts through. It is a pleasure watching him play.

And he’s only a Junior. If he returns for his Senior year I can only imagine the bar he would set for future RBs.

I saw that Kimani got a helmet sticker on espn. I would post a video, but we all know the mouse would find me and take me out.

^Gunnar was going to be on that speed list, but he ran faster than the radar.

Boy what a statement that is. Definitely a steal. The dude had offers from LSU, South Carolina, Arkansas, Syracuse, and Memphis.

I should issue a correction. After seeing the end zone view in highlight clips, the tackler got his hand over the TOOP of the shoulder pads and pulled Kimani down, so by rule, it wasn’t a horse collar. It was, however, late. As I said it occurred half way through the end zone. Kimani had already slowed to a jog. The official, standing within 5 yards of the tackle, did indeed turn a blind eye to the personal foul. That doesn’t surprise me in any way, nor should it any of you.
