I’ve been waiting a long time to say that. I’m coming to the game, but I don’t know if we will tailgate. It’s still a bit warm for me.
Who’s in and are you tailgating?

I’m in. I bought a second battery operated fan yesterday and gave the canopy and Thermacell ready to rolll. Menu has been settled on, now I just have to decide how much heat I’m willing to endure. I’ll have to be there before 4PM or they’ll close the road on me,

Jesus, we pray that all TS/Hurricane Idalia does is cool things off for a few days. Weather app is showing a cooler day. Could use Norm’s input.

I'll be there but as I live in Panama City, I'm having to stay real tuned in to what the storm is doing. It looks better for me with each update but I can remember plenty that totally shifted its course within hours of landfall. Having lived through Hurricane Michael, there is absolutely no such thing as too much of an abundance of caution. In fact, we're looking at the potential of renting an RV and heading to AL if we need to on Tuesday to ride it out. We dog-sit on the side and have 3 pups so that's very expensive when going to a hotel for the duration. So...though I don't think we'll need it if anyone knows of a good, cheap RV site, I'll be grateful for any options suggested. Hopefully, it's all unnecessary. I dang sure don't want my gameday ruined or having to clean up the pieces of life again. I'm just not ready for dealing with that at this time...

My son in law laughs at anyone from this area who speaks as if BC and AD are accompanied by BM and AM (Michael)

My son in law laughs at anyone from this area who speaks as if BC and AD are accompanied by BM and AM (Michael) We evacuated to Donalsonville, GA. That airport registered 155 MPH winds and the brick house we were in shifted slightly on its foundation. So, we're not evacuating to the northwest anymore. LOL Coming back to PC on Saturday after the storm was like what entering a bombing zone in a tropical region would look like. It was sheer and utter catastrophe. There's no explaining it or showing pictures to someone who isn't actually walking through the reality. Initially they said it would be Thanksgiving before we had power restored to the county. In incredible, MIRACULOUS fashion linemen from all over did it in a week or so. Those folks are some seriously unsung heros. Had Bay Co. gone without power for that long, the threads keeping society operating civilly could've come unravelled. I was on a crew who took solar and battery lights to several lower income single moms in the area so that at night, bad folk were less inclined to take advantage of the pitch black darkness. Water treatment and sewage was a concern if that timeline came to reality. We dodged so many bullets and we probably don't know what could've been. BUT....that's enough of that because IT'S GAME WEEK!!!! Soon we'll get to watch some Troy football. Soon we'll hear the coach at Trojan Talk. Soon the board will spring to life (or in some cases more death ) again!

Setup by 11 am. We only do this 6-7 times a year at home. My set up will be much simpler than yours; a tent, a table, a couple fans, and bag chairs. Forecast has changed again, 87 and partly cloudy. I hope to be done by 12.00 or so.

Norm is in The Gambia visiting relatives. However, he sends this quick and almost cryptic message for this weeks weather. HOT NAW COMPARED TO WHAT YOU BEEN. PS SEND MONEY, ANTS ARE EXPENSIVE HERE. END MESSAGE. Kind of looks like what one of our politicians might send?

Very weak opponent. Will be on the boat and in the sand until afternoon and party with about 10 other Trojan alumni to watch the game. Have to pick our games now, can’t do all home games anyway due to travel, other obligations and family. It will be a great day.

Waiting out a potential cat 3 storm. Hoping to be at the JMU game instead 🏈🌀 Hey fltrojan, our thoughts are with you as the potential category 3 hurricane approaches the Florida peninsula. Your safety comes first, and we hope you're staying prepared and safe during this time. We'll definitely miss your presence at The Vet this week, but remember, our Trojan family stands with you no matter where you are. 🌪️ Your dedication to both our team and your own well-being is truly admirable. While you're recovering from the storm, we'll be here cheering on our Troy Trojans, but there's no denying that your energy will be missed. ⚔️💙❤️ Take care, stay strong, and keep us posted when you can! Looking forward to the day we can all gather at The Vet again. Until then, stay safe and take care, #TrojanStrong! 💪🌟🏈 #TrojansTogether #SafetyFirst #TroyTrojans
