Absolutely awesome. He is also a hall of person. Any reason Troy doesn't retire numbers? I know it is more difficult than the pro franchises cause the number of players on a roster. I remember Mississippi has a few and maybe Florida state. I could think of a few Trojans who are deserving

Also if this is not a huge recruiting tool its a missed opportunity

There aren't a lot of Troy things that slip by me, but I never noticed that. Pretty sure, this might turn into a Trojan Wall story and maybe we can make it an official retirement for Al.

It's one of the most special articles I've gotten to write for The Wall. Folks should know just how special Al was. Maybe the Hall finally will.

Al Lucas was certainly a Trojan great and his folks are wonderful people as well. I own a Los Angeles Avengers helmet (the team he played for when he passed away on the playing field) and have a Blue-Gray All Star Classic football signed by Big Al, along with several others who played in Montgomery that year.
We were blessed to have Al on our campus during his collegiate career.
Go TROY!
