I saw where UTSA fans are making a push to make sure their QB stays home. I wanted to remind you all how easy it is to contribute to our student athletes. We have the Opendorse option which is social media based but we also have Playfly sports which is the partner of Troy Sports Properties. All the advertising I do involving the student athletes funnels through this. If you want more info on both, go here: opendorse.com/troy-trojansPlayFly 334-670-5943 for advertising your brand

What keeps a player from taking the money and still transferring? Is the money giving in HOPES of the player staying?

What keeps a player from taking the money and still transferring? Is the money giving in HOPES of the player staying? If you actually have a contract with a player, there could be contingencies. Example: On Friday, a five-star recruit in the Class of 2023 signed an agreement with a school’s NIL collective that could pay him more than $8 million by the end of his junior year of college, The Athletic has learned. He’ll be paid $350,000 almost immediately, followed by monthly payouts escalating to more than $2 million per year once he begins his college career, in exchange for making public appearances and taking part in social media promotions and other NIL activities “on behalf of (the collective) or a third party.”

You can be mad at me but SCREW NIL

Is the singer or actor getting tuition paid, meals paid, travel paid, books paid, housing paid, private space with pool tables, etc. Do taxpayers contribute to the Troy University system? I don't care if a kid makes money but I am not paying a kid to play football at Troy so I can watch him play 6 Saturdays in the fall - 7 this year. Happy to pay to the endowment so kids can get scholarships in perpetuity- education is way more valuable than NIL AND there are a lot more students than students athletes

And Caleb Williams - NIL guy paints on his finger nails F#&k Utah for the Pac 12 Championship game - he should be FINED for that garbage
And he is going to win the Heisman which is garbage
NIL is a disaster
I'm not saying kids should not get paid just saying NIL is not the answer but it's too late

Would not doubt a few took the opportunity to not send a written message like he did but a tad more direct. Kid who does that pretty much tells you all you want to know. If he gets the Heisman character does not count at all. Not at all.

Is the singer or actor getting tuition paid, meals paid, travel paid, books paid, housing paid, private space with pool tables, etc. There is an academic study which shows that 5stars generate revenue of $2m per player/season on avg (total income incl tv revenue, bowl payouts, donations). They should be payed accordingly... maybe apply the NFL distribution system (but most schools would surely prefer the current NIL system): NFL currently shares 48.5 percent of all league revenue with its players.

How many 5 stars Troy got? 4-stars generate $0.8m and 3-stars $0.1m per player/season… 3 Stars generate 100,000 on average which includes Bama, Ohio State, Texas. Dual that in tell me what each star generates in Troy 3 Star = 100,000 and he gets education, meals, housing, travel, private space in athletic facilities, academic assistance, clothing = none of these things are free and if a 3 star at Troy generates less than 100k Who is going to pay the maintenance on the building, the insurance, utility bill, etc. We are losing at 100k

We need to flood the Opendorse app with Christmas wishes from your favorite player to your family members. I did it with a couple of players for a birthday wish for someone. Waiting to see how the process works out.

Dual that in tell me what each star generates in Troy Yes, it's just an average across FBS... I think NIL is more relevant to P5 teams with some exceptions. Some Olympic sports athletes (Auburn's Suni Lee) make more NIL$ than most football players (incl elite QBs)...
