I think a big factor in our ability to win games by surging late (4th qtr) is how well we are conditioned and how strong we are. We beat on teams until we wear them down and break their will.
I’ll be the first one say it. We have all had fun over the years laughing at and ridiculing Rusty Whitt for the famous photo of him with a bloody forehead after he head butted a player. He was with the enemy, therefore was fair game. That is no longer the case. He’s a TROJAN now and I’m glad he is. He, and his program, are a big part of our success.

That video of Rusty at the beginning of the 4th is no coincidence.

I couldn’t agree more. Rusty has those boys in great shape and it really shows up late in games. A guy I work with played safety at Louisiana and when we got him at Troy he spoke very highly of him and how great he was at his job. Glad he’s a Trojan!

I’ve been saying this as well. With coach Whitt, we can take teams in deep water and drown them.

In addition, we've watched our OL grow up! Vidal and Billingsly both have been beasts the whole time but the line has struggled to open up space for them. So now they're starting to finally be able to shine! I think that might be getting overlooked a bit, so here's to a much improved and growing OL! They're peaking at the right time.
