If coastal wins out, (and so do we) might be looking at two ranked teams in the SBC championship

The p5 bias is ridiculous. Florida state with 3 losses is in at 25. Texas with 3 losses went from unranked to 18. It’s comical really.

I think we become strong enough to muscle into the top 25 by next season. Carry the momentum from a bowl win over a p5 team and we are there. Unless we luck into the Independence and a Pac 12 team ends up there too. Otherwise, it's AAC/CUSA vs an Independent the last few years.

We need Ole Miss to beat Bama. Outside of them our out of conference is not extremely strong. But we could be a 1 loss team and not two loss team - and I love it.
Top 25 here we come

We have Army, ULM and Arkansas State left in the regular season. Those are all certainly winnable games for us barring falling into a trap. Has Troy ever finished with 10 wins in the regular season in the FBS era?

Has Troy ever finished with 10 wins in the regular season in the FBS era? Yes To expand on Hemi's correct answer, in 2017 we finished the regular season 10-2. A win in the New Orleans Bowl over North Texas gave us our 11th win. This is all recent data and I didn't look at the Blakeney era. To expand a bit, in 2016, 2017, and 2018 we earned 10+ win seasons, but 2017 was the only one with the 10th win before a bowl.

We picked a fine time to have a record this good. If you look at the way things are playing out, there could end up being so many SBC teams eligible that somebody is left all dressed up with no place to bowl.

See you all at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium for a fantastic matchup against Army!

Jon seems pretty good and preventing the rat poison from entering the locker room. His beard acts as a natural barrier for all bad juju.
