www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34896659/hugh-freeze-liberty-agree-new-8-year-contract-30Yes, Liberty is awash in money but this is going to IMO force G5 programs to step up on pay which is already getting out of hand. On the flip side that is huge money to win the weakest G5 conference now. Don't know of another G5 that could pay anywhere close to that amount (UCF maybe but they are now technically P5). Troy is going to be looking at $1,000,000 plus if and when HCJS leaves and it will be interesting to see if we can do that. My hope is HCJS would stay for $1,500,000 if we could even do that.

TROY is going to have to graduate a LOT of nurses and school teachers to be able to pony up that kind of dough.

Don’t worry guys. We will always find the diamonds in the rough or those seeking shelter from a storm. Never know, we could have Neal and Vic back.

In today's world, age isn't the same thing. It used to take decades to learn to be a really knowledgeable coach. Now it is done much faster. I also wonder why Universities still take 4+ years award a degree. My theory is that it's about the dollars and not educating students.

Think of how many courses you had to take that, other than perhaps giving you an edge in a Trivia Pursuit game, have had little to no impact on your ability to do your job, and do it well.
