As an App State fan, I first want to give you some compliments having lived before in Montgomery and attending many of App’s away games at Troy. Your campus is amazing( your facilities are nice, your fans are respectful. That being said the OP is correct your ESPN+ production is unwatchable. Need to at least get some crowd mics in there at a minimum. Every other Sun Belt school’s ESPN+ production is much better and that’s saying something cause they aren’t all that either. Our athletic department has been ON FIRE with everything else they've been doing... facility upgrades, social media presence, great hires, fundraising, increasing ticket sales enormously, etc...... but you'd think they totally forgot about the TV production.
And surely they don't think our ESPN+ broadcasts are acceptable.

I think they should have a meeting for just an hour of all the powers that be and make them watch an hour of one of them

So who do we need to talk to about this?
I'd like for this to actually reach someone in charge of it productions, and not just be something we complain about on TroyFans.com, only to see nothing be done about it for the next 5 years.

All those positives and you dwell on the one negative. I’m not shocked.

I suspect that adprende might know who to speak to. We could help by making positive arguments as to why it should be fixed. 1. Football is our advertising to the world. 2. The Power T logo is becoming recognized by people outside of football fans. 3. The quality of these broadcasts may correlate to the perception of the school. Thus, improving the broadcast improves the perception of us. 4. The SBC is on fire this season. Winning will bring more viewers. More viewers deserve a quality broadcast. Help me out here.... You all work in the real world... bosses don't want to just hear the complaint, they want to hear the positives and the solution if we have any.

This is interesting because it made me realize. I've never seen an ESPN+ home game.

I have these conversations weekly with my church production team at our broadcast campus. I’m consistently recommending review of services so we can improve our stream to other campuses and our online presence. Perception matters especially in the age we live in currently. People make decisions based on content and the quality of that content.
It’s important for the TROY brand to get this right every time.

Improve the equipment used for the broadcast will improve the broadcast. Hire professionals to direct and run, if you want that side to improve. Get sound systems to put on field, etc. Me personally, I make most home games but have used ESPN+ to watch when I can’t make it. But the only thing I would improve is quality of the picture, that’s all I care about. Don’t really listen anyway, just want to watch.

This is interesting because it made me realize. I've never seen an ESPN+ home game. Who holds the record for most consecutive games attended? You? Hemi? The Attorney Tim Magee? <--- I met him a few times and he went to home and away all the time.

Said he quit counting. Can’t verify but he is there everytime I have been there.

Hemi is strong for sure with a consecutive home / road streak but I agree Magee has everyone unless he’s missed one that I don’t know about.

He even went to Provo a couple of years back and tried to sneak into stadium for BYU Troy but security got him. They did not allow fans. However, his ploy was to pretend to be stadium staff. It didn’t work!

There is a NEZ camera that has shown more birds and sky than football. Every other program in the SBC has a better ESPN+ broadcast than us. And we are the broadcast journalism school.

Coming through fine on DirectTV but no commercials, just birds, the sky, and Sumrall coughing. Strange.

Do Not bring liberty into this. They print their own money and have had their own broadcast network for years.

Looks like I’m in the minority here, but I don’t know why people think ESPN+ Game Broadcasts are that bad. After reading these posts, I tuned in expecting to see bad camera angles, shaking cameras, black outs, etc. The broadcast team seem down to earth instead of know it alls. About the only thing I see that could enhance the perception of the broadcast is more butts in the seats.

At one point they showed Texas State's record as 2-2, and Troy as 3-2 on the scoreboard bar. And the broadcast quality (video and audio), while not bad, isn't nearly as crisp and clear as some of our conference brethren.
