After already landing a commitment from 4-star transfer PG Nelson Phillips (via Georgia State)...
Looks like we just got another 4-star player in Darius McNeill (via UTSA).
Had some BIG offers from LSU, Baylor, NC State, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, California, TCU, Washington State, SMU, and Cincinnati.
Now if Cross can just find a talented, big power forward out of the portal, Troy might have an even more talented roster than last season's. Looks like we still could have a pretty good season next year.

Ah the portal …. The inspiration for Charlie Daniels “the devil went down to Georgia” song.

It certainly feels like Troy basketball is deeply mired in a decades long swamp of mediocrity. We’ll have one decent season of 20 wins in between 4,5,6 years of below .500.

Yep and now add in if a player has a good year they jump ship or if a player doesn't start year 1 and average 20 points they jump ship. So basically if we win 20+ the players will think they are to good for Troy and if we play .400 ball they want to play for a winner

With only a couple being graduates? That’s not good when you have an entire roster turnover and it’s not like some are not Cross’s guys. Always temper your expectations on the whole 4 or 5 star transfers. Trust the process ? The process can’t be to replace your entire roster every year.

U make a really good point and men’s basketball is going to be the worst example of continuity. Building a team from ground up means having a starter being on your team more than one year …EVER… is going to be the ruin of many a good coach.
