This comes from an article in the Athletic:
The standout running back from a Group of 5 program got an unsolicited call from a coach at a Power 5 program.
The coach made a promise: Come here, and we can make sure you make the most of your name, image and likeness.
And he put a number on it: $200,000.
The problem? This particular running back wasn’t one of the more than 1,000 FBS scholarship football players who entered his name in the transfer portal during the past year.
“It’s a reality,” a Group of 5 assistant coach told The Athletic this month. “(Tampering) is going on right now.”
Roster management never has been more difficult in college sports.

Even the P5's are having issues with their star players leaving.
Seems like at some point, there will need to be some sort of rules established. The P5 coaches are already complaining about it, especially the schools like Kentucky, Purdue, Louisville, Virginia, Baylor, etc. that risk losing their best players to schools like Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, Clemson, Texas A&M, Florida, etc.

Yeah it will be harder and harder to keep top talent. It'll be important to remind these kids that the P5 does not automatically = NFL success. Look at Josh Allen as a perfect example currently. There are plenty other examples though. NFL will find good talent anywhere. 200K though would be hard to turn down.

It's the end of college football as we know it. The Normal School will survive, but schools like Mississippi State and Kentucky and Mississippi are living in la-la land thinking they will be able to compete. They would be better served joining the Sunbelt.

The way the NIL is going these players are going make more in college than they are ever going to make in the NFL. There are only so many NFL teams with openings at any given draft season but the NIL is a limitless bottomless pit of money that is guaranteed.

If u wanted to destroy college football you would Under the guise of being fair (and there needed to be a change to some degree) u would allow players to move around. Then once that happened you would come up with a plan to get the rich richer by living on lesser groups. Thus the next Fair step. Then you have this.
Had you done step two first you would have never gotten the unlimited step one without a better plan.
Doing it this way was promoted by those who knew what would happen in the name of fairness that would destroy or likely destroy that which stood for a long long time.
