this could be us in a few years. Schedule the tough ones and most importantly win them all Not saying it is impossible but our level of athletic budget is about 60% of what they have at their disposal. It makes a difference. For instance say Sumrall gets us rolling. Four mill -5 million and mill a piece for coordinators is tough to keep up. That excellence fund is going to have to really surprise all of us.

Hard to get alumni to donate when: 1. Most have very little disposable income due to their jobs (military, education, etc.) (dat's me) 2. They have never attended on campus (international/online classes) 3. They're sitting in Bryant-Denny and Jordan-Hare on Saturdays

When u have a coach who purposefully sought the job as head football coach of your school and has the skills to follow a template that worked and was beloved- truly anything is possible (including skipping going to those other places to stay at their place!

I think we'll be surprised. ADBJ announced this am, at HCJ Sumrall's reception, that we are 50% there. That’s a pretty solid basically two day total.

The goal is 250,000 by Dec 31st. We are half way there. I was at the press conference when this total was announced. The minimum gift is only 1000.00. Of course nothing will be turned down. It’s time for all you keyboard warriors to step up and do your part if you have not already done so !!!

Anybody figure out how to give less than 1,000? I gave a 100 to TW, and I’m probably good for another couple of Benjamins to the Football fund, but being the dummy I am, all I see is 1000 as the lowest donation.

I stand corrected. 100,000 by the end of December. I misunderstood. Anyway we’re half way there as of yesterday. Still time to step up.

Surely that Rolex has gone up in value?? Gary's not picky. Other message board clowns are selling their Mercedes, BMW's and wives just to get on board!!

Call Gary Wilbert Associate Althletics Director Of Development 334-372-4484 or gwilbert@troy.edu. They will take any ammount and do a monthly draft

Troy will get that Rolex money in some way, most likely in tuition for the little TBBs.

I know they will take anything but reading that release it doesn't seem that way. A lot of us younger alums don't have that kind of discretionary income to do that. Had a buddy that wanted to give then saw the release and felt he couldn't.
