If you are able to attend a stop on the 2014 Trojan Tour, please share the highlights in this thread.

I'm not going to give away any of the talking points, but there was a lot of energy on the 4th floor last night. Coach Rigby was on her game last night. Coach Blakeney had some fire in his belly last night that I haven't seen in a while. Coach Cunningham touched on some interesting points last night as well. Coach Pierce, as usual, was a straight shooter right to the highs and lows.
I think this thing is only going to continue to get better. If you get a chance make sure you make it out to one near you.
I think I'll have a beer.

Hemi, how was the attendance. The pic Troy put on Facebook made it look like hardly anyone was there? Hope there was a good turnout

In this picture that is 1/4 of the crowd. It's taken right behind the tables. There are that many tables on the right and a decent crowd standing behind the person taking the picture. I was not at this location last year so I can't compare it to last years attendance. I think I'll have a beer. Attachments:

Glad to hear it was a good turnout. I wish they had taken a better pic lol. Still hoping they will add a stop around cent. Fl. There are a lot of alumni and former players down here that would go to this.

Stretching the tour to central Florida would be very challenging. Right now the furthest from stop Troy is roughly 3 plus hours. I think I'll have a beer.

I know it would be tough but the rewards could be worth it. There are a lot of alumni and former players here that would attend. Out of the box thinking that could pay dividends. Might be worth a shot next year. If it doesn't pay off don't do it again but I know of at least 20 that would be there and that's just my group I know.

We need to develop a presence in that area. It would be worth the extra effort and expense!

I agree with you guys on needing to reach those people in central Florida, but I don't think that's the mission of the Trojan Tour. I believe it's geared more towards tickets sales and engaging people that are somewhat local to Troy. I think I'll have a beer.

Agree with the purpose but thinking we might get fans to attend from there is reasonable. What, maybe a 5 hour drive? But I do see your point! My thoughts were maybe coaches in that area might be enticed yo participate. I bumped into a Pensacola coach in the doctors office last week who has coached in the area a long time. Asked him did they have contact with Troy coaches often? His reply, "no, never"! That concerns me because he has been successful and has been at several schools over the years. South Alabama recruits this area hard.

Just thought I'd add this here because the interview was prefaced by "Trojan Tour." Barry asked LB about the QB situation sans CR & DA. What he said was there will be 7 QBs on campus, in the fall. I assume there will be a couple of walk-ons to help with the scout team and work with the corners (I see you working AP). There was quite a bit more, but I won't steal anymore of his thunder. A little coach-speak, but I like what I heard...
P.S. All home games are on Saturday...

I was by the field house yesterday and got to talk with Coach Pierce and Coach Blakney ( briefly) before they left for Dothan. Really enjoyed talking with Coach Pierce. There were a few recruits visiting and things were really hoping. Got to talk to a Coach Beckles and Eddienfield also. There is excitement for sure. Looking forward to the season.
A side note I did not know is that all scholarship players are required to stay and do summer school. All four QB's I heard have been working hard as has the team.
