Glad to have these trickle out over the week. More exposure for us as a conference. Excited to see the final lineup once everything is sorted and I hope and pray by 23 when we throw hands we’ll be prepared with a new coach.

Not a bad get. We have some ground to make up as we are 3-8 against them all time. So now lets kick fester out and make these buzzards TMTDM fodder.

It’s great to have another conference team that’s a reasonable drive from Troy. Also glad the conference has been proactive in our approach and not being the ones gobbled up by CUSA. The CUSA commissioner said she’s had interest from some FBS and FCS schools. My guess is the independent schools around the country like UMASS, UCONN, Liberty, NMSU, and possibly Army. There may be a chance that North Dakota State, Sam Houston State or a few other power FCS schools might want to make a move. I wouldn’t mind giving up Texas State and possibly Arkansas State to have a tighter footprint. Crazy times indeed! Go Troy!

Remember when C-USA raided the Sunbelt and things look kind of bleak? Remember when some people thought C-USA was the goal to aspire to? Well, today C-USA appears to be on shaky ground and the Sunbelt looks stronger than ever! I love the new members the Sunbelt added, and now the former members of C-USA that are joining are a great fit! Happy to see Southern Miss and Troy in the same conference, and hopefully Marshall soon as well. I’m not impressed with the AAC. What do you guys think about the AAC? The new Sunbelt additions also makes much more sense economically regarding travel.

North Dakota St isn't going anywhere. #1 doesn't make sense geographically for them. #2 The Fargo Dome only seats 19,000 #3 They dominate FCS #4 their rivals (North Dakota, South Dakota, South Dakota St, Montana, Montana St are all staying FCS. They can play (and beat) a FBS money opponent every year, sell out the Fargo Dome, pack the opponents stadium on the road.

They will have to do major upgrades to move up to FBS. Football wise they can compete for sure

Expansion driven my markets, that the teams aren’t even relevant in, was a death sentence. New AAC equals CUSA

Well I’m glad to see these additions but that just makes the competition stronger and if we don’t get back to the top of the pack we may be out of left out next realignment! That has to start with a New Coach!

That has to start with a New Coach! This is perhaps as insightful as any comment made about the realignment yet. This conference will get better. We can either get on the bus and get better with it, or we will be left choking on it's dust.

That has to start with a New Coach! Pretty much. If the roles were reversed and CUSA raided the Belt, we would be the MTSU of the conference. Not a “market team” and not a top 4 program in our conference.

CDOA has been bleeding for over a decade and as Ho predicted, they finally imploded. Just think...Texas Western has to fly all of their teams to 3/4ths of the conference and visa versa. BMarkets UCF-Boca and Miami State have to fly everywhere. That adds up.

FI Who is nothing but a glorified community college with 40,000 students. How would you like to be the stepchild to FA who? USF is second fiddle to UCF so they are in trouble if the AAC collapses. Wouldn't mind picking them up and getting rid of SW Texas St.

Additional teams coming to the Belt: Per a report by @collegead, the Sun Belt Conference is closing in on adding four new memebers, Southern Miss, Marshall, JMU, and ODU with an announcement expected early next week.
