Saint, please let me know what you are hearing. Unless he loses the locker room, CL is coaching through Georgia State. If a decision is to let him go, Hawkins will not pay money now when he can wait a few months and pay little. Hawkins loves when players love the coach. If CL can finish out with some wins and Hawkins sees an âupward trajectoryâ a extension can be given. One that is minimum years, lower base pay that is heavily, heavily incentive based. (If he upsets Coastal, highly likely he returns, that publicly would go a long way with Hawkins) BUT things can and often change quickly, input from people who matter come in all the time and can change. Hawkins prefers not to go through another coaching change now, especially if he sees fundraising is not dipping. (The HC we don’t speak of) lost the locker room months ago. "Insider info". Players families as well. Paying lesser, later (ThankYVMuch Wayne Bookout) is a Hawkins tradition. Financial procrastination, as you will. There is no upward trajectory for a HC that is so disdained, so disliked and now proven fail at this level. One or two games just don't make a difference. The man just has bad judgement, on and off field. Has anyone considered that increased fundraising may be a result of a need for change?? Hawkins has heard plenty from the day 1 of (The HC we don’t speak of) hire. Trust me.

30-27, App wins. Couldn't happen to a lesser opponent. Coastal woulda done the same, or worse. Rub it in Boonies, great win! Set 'em up for you, Trojans. Grill the beach chickens next week!

Both teams last nite looked tough. I think we could give them a game but we have Captain Quigg as our head coach his ability to out think the opposition could be summed up this way: FENCE POST....................................................................verses ........................................................(The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) final score FENCE POST 24.................................................................................................................................(The HC we don’t speak of) 12 (all scored by his defense)

Yes, he lost the parents and majority of us supporters a long while ago. We all agree CL isnât the future of our program. Proved my point about it being only a few games, and it wont make a difference, exactly what Hawkins is thinking. The Fundraising for making a change (buyout) is an entirely different bucket. And hence the dilemma, if fundraising is so good right, as yâall claim, then in theory, It gives Hawkins less motivation to make a change. If Neal Brown was still here would fundraising be more or less ? We all know the answer but his Administration has frustrated and ignored a lot of donors unfortunately. Donât believe everything you read, reports can be configured to show something is not representative of what is actually happening. Regardless, CL needs to go and quickly. My fear is Hawkins is looking for a reason for him to stay and Jones has no where near the gumption to make the call or fight for it.

Why donât you contribute to the discussion and lift up the boards thoughts ? Instead of posting nonsense. Iâve heard some of your opinions in person, they are interesting and pretty good.

There is a quite real possibility we lose out. Fact. Cheerleader Performance Center, I like the sound of that, but I would take a glorified gazebo so the team could practice in bad weather. I would love to see a full indoor football facility for the football program I truly believe that will be a game changer! It could also provide multi purpose, events ect.

I think that was Vegas insider I got that from. Hopefully everyone one on our side should be close to 100% with 10 days off

I pray (not really but would earnestly like to see) the: " Blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while" adage take hold of (The HC we don’t speak of). Due to his past history I think on the O side that some miracles leading to that adage being fulfilled is our best shot to win.......................As long as the D plays extraordinarily well. If they don't play well we are going to have to have a new adage: Every once in a while a Squirrel finds the Planter Peanuts company left the door open"
Perhaps a new sign can show in the stands:
Dear (The HC we don’t speak of): Be a lucky Squirrel today!!

This long-time $upporter won't be giving a darn nickel toward an IPF until the priorities of the higher ups realize that PEOPLE make the difference, ie, HC and staff. An IPF is not gonna win one Dadgum game when play-calling, coaching and team discipline is bottom-basement. And, I've shared this position with ADBJ several times.

I am rooting for a win because I canât stand the Myrtle Beach Cocks, but if we can pull it off it will be the first time thatâs (The HC we don’t speak of) has won a game against a FBS opponent with a winning record! I think we match up well against them but (The HC we don’t speak of) got out coached 2 years in a row against them and there is no indication that he can put together a winning game plan this week!

Watson - he's clearly a better option than Powell and its not close imo

Some notes on the Depth Chart / Roster
⢠Watson will start, Powell is the backup. Not sure if Powell is 100%, but could be, it's been a while. ⢠As has been the case for a while, Luis Medina is reserve at NT. I believe he has been banged up and has nothing to do with playing ability. ⢠Big #21 Shakel Brown was the backup at NT before he entered the portal and came back a few days later. He is not listed on the depth chart but has played some since "returning" to Troy. ⢠Lots of corners will play (seven are listed at two positions). Al Poque has been doing a great job, and is responsible for a decent amount of defensive improvement. ⢠With Todd out, all four starters are different receivers from the ones who torched Coastal last season. Luke and Tez may have played some. No Todd, Khalil, Geiger, or Eafford this time. Watson and the running backs return. ⢠Charles Strong has moved to LB. A good move, IMO. ⢠Do not use the depth chart to find out how healthy we are. Wait for Junior's injury update right before the game. ⢠Some starters are game time decisions, and may differ from what's seen on the chart released at the beginning of the week, as has been the case under (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of).
